Maintenance was poor
This property was, by far, the most poorly prepared property I have ever rented on VRBO, and I have rented quite a few. Properties that I have rented in Honduras and Panama were exceptional compared to the way they prepped this location. Carpets werre dirty, fridge had mold around the water dispenser, and the patio area was filthy. We were even charged for a service call and all the checkthtemprefrigeratorcall.

Review
It was okay - there was hair in our shower. Very limited toilet paper and garbage bags. Left a message to get our pool heat on and no one called back. The pool guy who came by also said he was going to have it turned on and never was.Very spacious house, great kitchen space and nice to have multiple bathrooms. Was a good location.

I was very unhappy that when we arrived at the property there were dead roaches on the kitchen and living room as well as roach dropping in the bathrooms, on the linens and on the kitchen dishes in the cabinets. I also had a roach run across in front of me when I got up to use the bathroom during the night. When I reported it, they told me they would send housekeeping out and would let me know when they would arrive. Housekeeping showed up without notice and didn’t not speak ONE WORD of English. They said they would send housekeeping out again and I told them I would use the vacuum I found and I would clean the rugs and towels. They asked me not to clean the rugs. I cleaned all of the linens so we could use them. The only thing they offered to compensate us for our inconveniences was an hour later checkout. ALL of the beds were LOUD, hard. and squeaky and woke other family member up just by rolling over. They also provide very little toilet paper, nothing to wash dishes such as a sponge or soap and a very small roll of paper towels. Be prepared to stock up before you get there on necessities. The broom was hidden in the bedroom closet The shower head was awful and the shower liner was gross! The clubhouse was beautiful and very relaxing, HOWEVER, you have to drive to get there because it is not on the actual property.

It was Avery bad experience Fridge didn’t work Ac didn’t work and leaks the whole stay we had to mop all day Back door didn’t close unsafe to sleep with the door open Broken courting It rain and roof start leaking Tv didn’t work properly know one was good After 3 days they send a property maintenance guy but he could dices . Perfect Condo but rude staff
The condo itself was a great space, perfect location, and loved how spacious It was. The property manager was super good about messaging me back through Vrbo anytime I had questions. I’m torn on this review because the actual condo was great and the owner was great. However, Storey Lake staff were very rude upon many interactions. Because of this, we will not return. I hate that because It’s not the owner’s fault at all. However, because this condo is contracted through Storey Lake, their rules apply. I know It wasn’t anything “personal” per se on our part because sadly, we watched their rude interactions with multiple families on property. This was mostly at the pool clubhouse. Coolers, bags, personal cups, none of that is allowed. I’ve been at many condos at which that’s never been an issue, however, one place we stayed before did have that rule, but no one cared about what you brought in. The clubhouse does bag checks and goes through all of your things which I thought was rather overboard. I also mentioned how I have a 2 year old who just wanted some crackers and small chips (things they do not provide at the clubhouse restaurant) and I was not allowed to have anything for him. I understand rules are rules, but the staff was just extremely rude anytime they conveyed a message, along with the lifeguards as well. One of which who raised his voice at me. Like I mentioned earlier, I know It wasn’t just against us because we watched It with other families unfortunately.

Pros Location to restaurants and food shopping Location for parks Pool oasis. Nice and clean House was very nice Pool staff Nice pool chairs at oasis Cons No beach towels. Even though it was listed as none it would be nice Beds were sooo uncomfortable. I mean we had to go buy a mattress and return it a week later bad Back pool door was hard to lock Communication with check in.

Everything was perfect just never stayed in a rental where had to bring my own toilet paper and trash bags and dish washing supplies. I was told in beginning to bring toiletries in listing but didn’t think they meant trash bags and dish washing supplies

Very dated and nothing like the pics posted
Dated and not kept up. All vents dirt/dust build up, blinds missing, A/C system was crap, no dish cloth or drying towels, couch was like sitting on floor ( bottom gone out of it), bed was so squeaky and uncomfortable, pool was dirty and no way to take depre out, all the lounge chairs were out back and all were broke, the amount of dust and dirt build up on mouldings was disgusting and carpet needs updating. Curtain rods hanging off the walls. What ever the pics showed online was the complete opposite when we arrived. I think it’s a total disgrace that people can rent these places out in this state and think it’s ok. We travelled a long distance and paid a lot of money and to arrive to that was disgraceful.

Overall okay. Like in other comments, the beds have to be changed. Very noisy every move you made on the bed. The cleaning was minimal, you can still see some food and crumbs on the carpet area. Kitchen and living room was nice. No complaints about bathrooms. Found a few palmetto bugs running around inside. Location is good for Disney and universal.

Not worth the price
Unfortunately, the accommodations did not meet our expectations despite the high price we paid. In my opinion, this house lacks essential amenities and could benefit from some much-needed care and attention. The beds were squeaky and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. We were disappointed to find out that we were unable to check in early, which inconvenienced us and forced us to spend close to 6 hours at Walmart. This was unacceptable, especially since we had to check out before 10am. The TV didn't even have a basic Netflix app installed and the remotes were not functioning properly. Upon arrival, we were greeted with an uncomfortably hot house due to the heater being left on. Overall, this property did not meet our expectations and we would not consider renting it again. Additionally, the listing claimed to have a concierge on site but this was not the case. When I called to inquire about concierge, shuttle services, and discounted tickets, the management company provided terrible service.

Great stay!
Had a little hiccup with the check in process. This was a work trip that my boss paid for but he wasn't on the guest list. I was able to contact the manager easily and it was worked out. The house was very nice and fit our needs above and beyond 😊 the TV was a bit slow to load streaming services. That was my only complaint and it was minor. Great location.

This was our second stay in the Storey Lakes and we love the location. When we walked into the townhouse first thing I saw was a very dirty air vent caked with dust and dirt black in color and should have been white. Next saw the blind with missing pieces then a rug with corner flipped up in the middle of the room. You can tell someone has tried to tape down. Upstairs all vent were very dirty and needed clean. The internet would not work so no TV. I contacted the number and no response. There were lights that did not work. In the bathroom there was a missing towel rack that needed replaced. There were 4 total wash clothes and no dish rag. I read other reviews that were posted months ago while we were there and had same issues and still not fixed. I will not stay here again due to lack of cleanliness. I did take pictures and was hoping to attach but would not let me

Good and bad
The master suite had dead bugs under the bathroom rug. The beds squeak bad. The rug in the living room area kept coming up. The water temp was not hot at all. It had a lot of kitchen appliances to make your stay good. The rooms upstairs don’t have fans. Even with putting the temp down a lil it was still hot in the rooms. They only had 2 small fans. The frozen room vent wouldn’t stay open. The pool was a decent size overall.

Was not what we expected
We did not receive any information about early check in till the day before so when I called the day of & asked to pay to check in early I was told no & had to wait 6 hours in the parking lot for “maintenance to inspect before we could enter”. For the 6 hours we stood there waiting till the 4pm check in time no one ever came to “inspect”. The code also didn’t work until about 4:20. We had a leak from the ceiling into the kitchen from the shower upstairs at about 10pm (could tell it had leaked before from the bubbles & what looked like mold) I tried calling the emergency overnight maintenance numbers and got nothing but voicemails and did not get a response from management till the next day at noon. Where management then tried to blame us by saying we put the A/C below 72 degrees which we did not, we kept at 73 as it asked. Management tried to say it was just the A/C dripping, when it was a pour down of water in 3 different spots wetting all the food we had out. Wish we would of had a little better experience for the amount of money we paid.

The property is conveniently located - 15 minutes from everything. Also, Publix, Walmart and other shopping is super close. Resort amenities are great but there are A LOT of people. You will be glad you have your own pool. Kitchen is very well stocked -even an air fryer. The condo itself needs some attention. The walls are very marked, we had to fill the pool each day because water would fall below the skimmer, two of the 4 lounge chairs were broken, and two of the beds strangely creek/make weird noise every time you move. These mattresses need to be replaced asap. Overall the condo didn’t feel clean. There was a visible layer of dust on the baseboards and in the return. Two of the bathrooms we found multiple long hairs on the floor. The bath mats really should be tossed and the carpet needs to be cleaned. The kitchen sink didn’t have hot water and the can opener didn’t work. We contacted the management company multiple times but received no response that we are aware of. If they clean the property, paint the walls, and fix the other issues it would be great! If you choose to stay I would want their assurance that they addressed these issues. All said, keep in mind that this unit was cheaper than others just like it. I guess you pay for what you get.
