I recently stayed at the St James Hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, it was an incredibly unpleasant experience. The first issue I encountered was the noise. The corridors were noisy throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Additionally, my room was uncomfortably cold, and I couldn't find a way to adjust the temperature. To make matters worse, the window wouldn't close properly, allowing street noise to seep in and keep me awake.
On the second night, things got even worse when the fire alarm went off at 8 a.m., further disrupting what little sleep I had managed to get. The lack of soundproofing and the malfunctioning window made for a very frustrating stay.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and restful experience. The issues with noise and comfort, combined with the alarm incident, made it a disappointing stay. I hope the hotel can address these problems for future guests.
