Before my stay @ Home2 Suites, Orbitz had provided me with an email that stated “we have contacted Home2 Suites and they have approved the change BOTH rooms from your arrival date of Nov 26 to one day later, arrival of Nov 27. When we arrived on 11/27 we were told that only 1 room was moved. The front desk person also told me that they never spoke with Orbitz. If they never spoke with Orbitz how would they know to change the date of one of the rooms?? I had to pay for one room @ $140. NOT FAIR, especially since I provided the front desk person with the email from Orbitz stating that my rooms were successfully changed. -Dave Dorfman

The property was very dated and not in a great location. The 1st night there the smoke detector started beeping and we called the clerk on duty. He came down and replaced the battery and all was good. The 2nd night the exact same thing happened; and when no one answered the phone, I went to the front desk and located the on-duty employee. He had no idea how to change the battery so I basically removed the battery, reset the cover and test button, and it stopped beeping. The next morning it started beeping again and I reset it again since we were leaving anyway. We would definitely not stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.

Easy access to the everglades and transition from/to the keys. The a/c in the room was nice and cold after being out in the heat all day. Breakfast was simple, but there was a nice addition of pre-made breakfast sandwiches.

The staff was great and so was the property around. The cleanliness of the rooms was great. The bathroom especially the shower stall could used some modernization as the water leaked into the bathroom.
