Other than Stefanie, Pedro & Wilmur I’d fire that staff. I’m sorry but a lot of things are so in inconvenient like the ice machines. Late check out even after you request and pay for it 6 different people knock on your door disturbing your sleep. One cleaning lady just walked right in and the door was locked. I stood in the Catalina main building on the first floor there was a pair of press on French top nails on the floor from the day I checked in and probably still there now. Your night time staff which consist of a young female and a stocky man with a bald head and beard. They are the absolute worst! I’m from New York I was born rude & these two have me beat! I’d never stay here again & that’s sucks because I love to save money. Oh the tacos are amazing. That’s really it.

My room smelled so bad like mold/mildew and felt so humid. My bed sheets felt wet but were completely dry. Never got clean towels or linen. Complained and tried to get a new room and said they didn’t have any available. Worst experience ever. Parking was horrible too.

This property was not what expected. During my stay I had to change rooms 3 times. First time because the room was dirty, past guest socks under the bed and stains on the sheets. I was upgraded to a “better” room in another building. Then it rained while we were out. Came back to find it raining in our room. Water coming down from two locations inside and one right outside the door. Water was all on my bag. I complained and the manage was making promises she didn’t keep. I wasn’t compensated for the inconvenience. By the way it was my birthday. She stated she had a complimentary gift for to try and make up for the inconvenience i was caused and NOTHING. She also stated she will give like a gift card or voucher at the bar right next door. NOPE NOTHING! She suggested something else and I walked away. I was over it. So at the end of the day I’ll never go back to this hotel again!

The lady that checked me in stated that they had a special with no Resort Fees and i would only have to pay the Deposit of 100.00 i extended my room for one more night. Front desk stated i had a balance for Resort Fees. Be careful because because she stated i didn't the next Manager said i did have to pay. That wasn't my fault check with your staff. I will not be staying here again.

I came here due to my friend birthday and she chose this hotel that she speaks highly of for the price. My friend asked the receptionist if he could make we were next to each other and in nice rooms. We were all used to nicer hotels and she wanted us to enjoy our stay. Our rooms were in separate buildings. Her room was nice but other guest were not. She requested this hotel over others do to pricing. My room was $178 plus $30 resort fee plus a $100 deposit. The rooms spread between two other boutique hotels. I did not stay in the Catalina. The Catalina gave me a room in the other hotel where I had to walk through an dining area inside and outside to get to and from my room. This hotel has Tacos sign displayed on it, food was overpriced, service was poor. Room was dated needs to be updated. My furniture in the room was ok. My dresser had writing on it. The other hotel elevator did not work. Rooftop pool area looks dirty looks like no staff come to clean it up to make it look nice as they portray on the pics.outside cushion was stained.. did not want to sit on them. The pool looked dirty. I will say a good stay on the beach to be in and out close to the beach. Room worth $70 no resort fees cause nothing about this hotel says resort but the last resort. Sorry they have potential but they need to do better!
