Upon arrival I was asked to move to a sister hotel in Paddington. I had deliberately booked this hotel for its location close to my meetings and as a solo female traveller, it was important to me. They reluctantly gave me a room on the ground floor right next to the reception desk. This meant that the 24 hour reception was noisy all night with loud chatting amongst staff, talking on the phone, the sound of people walking up and down uncarpeted stairs, stapling of papers together and banging of drawers all night long. At 2am I begged them to be quiet, the shift changed at 4.57am and the noise began again. They are clearly using this location as a lure to fill their underbooked hotel in Paddington. Do not stay here.

Not quite what we expected

Lovely hotel, nice friendly staff but a big problem. We were told on arrival the hotel was full and we would have to go the sister hotel in Paddington. We had booked this place as it was very near to a wedding we were going to. After complaining and explaining we were given a room. Then we were told we would have to pay for breakfast as it was not included. My booking speciified breakfast??? Rather than pay twice we found a nice local place and at a fraction of the price they wanted. Not a good experience as it leaves resentment. Such a shame as it's a nice place to stay. We will never go back.

Epic Fail

I arrived at this hotel and was told that the system was broken. Therefore I was transferred to a "sister" hotel on Inverness Terrace (near Bayswater tube stop). I had booked this particular location for business purposes and wanted to be close to my venue on Monday and Tuesday. The new location was a complete inconvenience. I was also told there was no availability on any of the nights during my stay (3 nights) and couldn't transfer back to the original hotel. I cannot comment on the facilities of this particular hotel as I did not get to see a room. However, the hotel I was transferred to was shockingly bad. The state of repair was shocking, and the bathroom was barely bigger than a coffin. When I checked on a well known hotel and trip advice website, I discovered that this was a common practice for this hotel, with reports of transfers to the East End and as far away as Heathrow. I have NEVER had this problem with a hotel before, and usually if double booked you are upgraded by way of an apology. Not so with these clowns. Avoid at all costs.

Great Location

My husband and I stayed for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated with mod cons. The location was great for our needs. The staff were good and the breakfast was very nice too! Would use again.

+ Pieni, kompakti huone, joka modernisti sisustettu. Siistit tilat. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Metrolle matkaa n. 500m. - Huone oli "kellarikerroksessa", pimeä. Varaukseen kuului aamupala, mutta se yritettiin laskuttaa lähtiessä. Aamupala oli läheisessä ravintolassa.
