Great value

The good: Great value for money, clean room, daily housekeeping (if you keep the tag on the door handle), friendly receptionists, tea/coffee and kettle in room, clean room and nice decor in the hallways. Particularly liked the heated mirror in the bathroom, although the integrated light was a bit dim (but maybe it’s meant to be a nightlight?). Parking vouchers are available from the reception for £2.20 which will last you till 11am the following day (I.e. you’re covered till checkout the following day. Great location for walks along the beach or Eastbourne Pier. Lots of restaurants nearby and the high street is just a 15 minute walk. Could be improved: - They should have some coat hooks or a stand in the room. We had to keep our wet coats on the chair which probably isn’t great for their furniture either - Washrooms have separate hot and cold taps which was annoying to use (especially in the shower) - Would be nice to have a lamp near the mirror

Hotel in a very convenient location. The staff were excellent The lift is rather small. Bathroom in need of complete updating - at the moment not very safe to use the shower over the bath - no grab rail.

Bath was not very clean. No bin in bathroom or lock on bathroom door. Window next to bed and could not be opened. Coffee and milk indrinkable - yuck. Reception did not know how to operate the coffee machine. Lots of nice painings. Very nice communal area. Not expensive.Shower was feeble and kept changing temperature. Only one bedside plug and one spoon for two people.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The cleanliness excellent. However, the walls were paper thin and we were kept awake until 3:30am because of the unacceptable, antisocial behaviour of other people in the hotel, crashing and banging around, speaking loudly, running a bath (?) and their extractor fan sounded like it was in our room, and generally destroying any chance of sleep. The night porter was very kind and helpful and went to speak to the offenders but I was so infuriated that it took me ages to go to sleep, bearing in mind I had a long drive home today with inadequate sleep. Unfortunately, due to this, we won’t be returning.

We chose this hotel based on the reviews but felt it was a complete let down. The double bed was small and uncomfortable. The cold tap at the sink wasn’t working properly. Service at the front desk was alright but not excellent like how others had reviewed it. My partner was utterly disappointed by the state of the room.

O K STAY

room was ok at the back of hotel a bit tight but was very clean downside small double bed could do larger one ie king also tv was the smallest I've seen in a room with very bright colours needs a bigger one and set up properly. the room was adequate for a 2 night stay as wasn't in it much parking was good managed to get outside for £2.20 24hrs with card from reception
