Such a great situation

Pros: Its position and ease to get anywhere. 2 minutes from the A1 and Metro Centre.
Cons: Definitely the lighting coming from the car park up the first set of very slippery steps! Actually there is no lighting present there! HEALTH & SAFETY
Location: Just off A1. Metro Centre 5 minutes away. Coast not far. Airport 10 minutes away.
A lovely welcome from friendly staff. Fantastic view over the Tyne valley towards Newcastle...the lights twinkled like a Christmas scene!

Close to amenities and a short bus ride into the c

Pros: Nice restaurant, good food, helpful, pleasant staff.
Cons: On my second visit I had to climb a lot of stairs to reach my room, not a problem for me, however some guests may have difficulty with this.
Location: Nice location with a few pubs and good restaurants.
This hotel is in a pleasant area, a nice village with adequate shops and pubs. My bedroom was very clean and comfortable with everything you might need, all of the staff were polite, friendly and helpful, this was my second visit and I will definitely stay here next time.

Nice hotel but...

Nice hotel but woke up one morning to no power and no phone so couldn't find out what was happening as I couldn't leave my 8 year old daughter alone. Roadworks woke up up the next morning. Oh and a fire alarm test. Not relaxing at all!!

Hotel close to wedding reception

Pros: Staff, Bathroom, Shower, Toilet Roll
Cons: Air-conditioning,, Black out blinds especially for rear of house, Fit out
Location: Near Blaydon Rugby club. plenty bars in Whickham
Fairly dated hotel in need of some love and rejuvenation. Pleasant and friendly staff don't make up for the old decor and uncomfortable bed. There was a funny 'old' smell in the rear corridor and no lift to our room. No air conditioning accompanied with poor blinds/curtains made for a terrible nights sleep. Also no idea if there was another towel in the room but we only found one

It ticked most of the boxes

Pros: Everything was fine
Cons: No lift but it will be expensive to fit one now
Staff were pleasant and helpful as most people in the North East are. Room - very good. Breakfast (continental or full English) good but a tad expensive.

Family weekend

Chose this hotel for a family get together in Newcastle. Good quiet location. Our room had a fantastic view over Tyne to Newcastle. Room was clean but basic. We chose the continental breakfast option which was adequate. You had to pay in cash for this at the time of eating
