Bathroom was odd, plastic room in middle of the bedroom. Door didn’t close fully. Booked a twin room but was a double bed with a chair pull out for the second bed. Not ideal or what I paid for. Close to the train station was the main positive.

It's nicely located for the train station, it's clean and there are some lovely cafes around. However, I don't know which rooms people stayed in when they stated it was quiet. If you book here, bear in mind that the hotel is built in a courtyard shape and that in the middle is some kind of generator. If you get an outside facing room it's much quieter, but the trains run very late into the night and have ungodly brakes. Can't fault the staff, who were very helpful in switching us away from the inner room after the first night when we couldn't sleep, though ultimately there's not a lot they can do with the building shaped like this. But, if you're a heavy sleeper, there's probably no problem and the hotel is very convenient and safe.

I stayed one night to attend a gig at The Marble Factory, which is a 4 or 5 minute walk away. The hotel is also 5 minutes from Temple Meads station or about 8 minutes from the nearest big car park (£18 for the night). Staff were helpful and accessible. Nice bar and breakfast area. Good breakfast for a vegan - vegan croissants and yogurt! Rooms are modern and a bit minimalistic but clean and quiet. A good, no hassle stay and would for sure stay there again.

The hotel felt quite dated and the air-conditioning was broken for all three nights of my stay. The room was very hot as a result and the window could only be opened a few centimetres. When I mentioned the air-conditioning to the hotel staff I was give a small and dirty desk fan that was close to useless for addressing the temperature in the room. I would recommended staying at a different hotel in the warmer months.

Lots of construction work in the area and the hotel room was noisy (could tear every flush of a toilet from all floors directly above the room) - I was on first floor.

Shopping trip
Perfect location for a shopping trip with my daughter. Ideal for both the train station and shops. All within walking distance. Room was spacious and had everything we needed. It was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable.

Never again
The advertised aircon was not aircon so the entire stay was uncomfortable and hot. Construction work was going on right outside my window which I was not made aware of which meant I couldn’t leave my window open. I requested a fridge which is required for my medication (insulin so can’t exactly go without) and was told the only option is to put it in the fridge behind reception. Would you want to inject life saving medication into your body that hasn’t been kept on your person/within your private space not knowing if it had been tampered with? I wouldn’t! Not to mention the attitude of the member on staff on reception when I queried about a fridge.
