Spacious & Comfy 2BR Yacht - Fully Heated - On Freedom Trail, Walk to Downtown

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and unwind aboard Carpe Diem II, where you can watch the boats sail by on the calm waters of the harbor. The yacht has two comfortable queen staterooms that can accommodate up to four adults, and each stateroom has a private head (bathroom) with a shower.

Take advantage of the beautiful weather and enjoy a meal or mix up a cocktail on the spacious aft deck, while soaking up the sights and sounds of the harbor. If it gets too hot or too chilly, head inside to cool off or warm up with central air conditioning and heat.

Located in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard, the yacht is just steps away from popular attractions like the Freedom Trail, North End, and Downtown, making it an ideal base for exploring Boston. Book your stay on Carpe Diem II now and experience the unique charm of living on the water in this historic neighborhood.

-The Space-

Step aboard the Carpe Diem II and see her aft deck, welcoming you to sit, relax and start a great conversation. Move to the fly-bridge for a 360° view of the marina and harbor.

Heading inside, her main salon offers comfortable seating for 6. A great spot to cozy up with a book after a fun day in the city. A Bluetooth speaker, Smart-TV, and ample plugs for charging your devices add to the livability of the boat.

Step down to the galley and dinette, equipped with everything you need to make a meal onboard: a two-burner induction cooktop, convection microwave/oven, toaster, small fridge and plenty of glasses, crockery, cutlery, and pots and pans. Also, the cooking basics, salt, pepper, oil, sugar, tea, coffee, and a welcome bowl of snacks. The dinette table comfortably sits 4.

Enter the private forward and aft staterooms made up with luxury linens, blankets, pillows & duvets. Grab a fluffy towel before entering one of the two bathrooms. Equipped with quiet and reliable heads (toilets), hot showers, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

-Common Questions-

• Is there wifi on board?
Yes!

• Does the boat have A/C & Heat?
The boat has both A/C and Heat! It is a boat, so there is minimal insulation, but it stays comfy. Most guests prefer to keep the windows open for a nice sea breeze during the summer and cozy up in a sweatshirt during the cooler months.

• Can we get picked up or dropped off at different wharves around the harbor?
Yes! There are water taxis that can take you directly from the airport to the marina, and from the boat to anywhere else you may need to go.

• Is there parking nearby?
Yes – parking at the marina is available for $28/day along with other parking garages in the area.

• Will there be enough room
The yacht is wonderfully comfortable! There's ample headroom in the cabin, and the beds just as large as queen-size beds you'd have at home. Please bear in mind that the boat is on water and it will move. While it's a gentle rock, If you're the kind of person who feels queasy just looking at boats, then this might not be the best option for you.
During your stay at this houseboat, you're just a quick walk from Charlestown Navy Yard. A spa tub is available.
  • Free WiFi
  • Just a 4-minute drive from TD Garden and a few minutes from Faneuil Hall Marketplace
This houseboat offers its guests a spa tub, barbecue grills, and a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Boston houseboat is smoke free.

Wonderfully unique experience
Chad and Holley were incredible hosts, they addressed all our needs immediately. They offered us an extensive list of local restaurants that were spot on. During our stay we experienced a couple of wonderful sunrises. The marina was calming with spectacular views of Boston during the night.

Boston harbor for 4 nights, with senors over 70.
Sept 22-26. Missed the weather both sides of our trip. Awesome place to have your base. We walked over 20 miles and the ferries help a lot. Senior ferry $1.87 each way. Chad will put you on the eats too. The 7/11 is 3 blocks away. We had to make reservations back in May 2024, so get after next year. Peace Chad, till another time.

Fun alternative to a Boston hotel room
Overall the stay was fun, unique and pleasurable. Chad was good at communicating and offering suggestions regarding the Boston area. However, we did have a couple of issues with the shower drain and gally sink and although Chad committed to rectifying the issues, he did not do so. We ended up using a plunger to manage the most immediate situation, not ideal when you are paying to stay on the boat. The boat stay offers a fun and different experience for a vacation get away.

Great spot!
Was a great Boston experience! Chad was a great host w/great suggestions and quick responses. Would recommend this property for 2 couples or 2 singles. Second bathroom is a bit tight but bathhouse nearby was a perk. With ferry nearby and quick ride share responses, location was great. Also walkable to alot of great spots. Highly recommend!

Great way to stay in Boston
It was so much fun to stay on the boat for our trip to Boston! We had a great view of the downtown area and yet were in a more tranquil environment The boat was just as pictured and very comfortable for the 4 of us. Chad was so nice. He met us at the marina, showed us around and even gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner nearby . We took him up on both restaurants and we’re not disappointed! I highly recommend staying there and hope to return

Warm Boat to weather Spring Nor’easter
We stayed aboard Chads boat during a windy, wet and cold storm at beginning of April. The boat held up well and Chad was reassuring that these weather patterns are not unique. Despite the cold temperatures outside the boat stayed comfortable. The marina is easily accessible to downtown via ferry, 20 minute walk to T line and many other restaurants in Charlestown/North End. Chad is an excellent and welcoming host.

Boat living in great location
Boat was more spacious in the sitting areas that I thought it would be and kitchen exceeded expectations. Bathrooms are quite small so just be prepared for that, and there are steep stairs you need to navigate. But you can't beat the location - great being in the Charlestown marina.

So much fun and convenient too
Loved every moment of our time on the boat. Convenient to ferry over to Boston Long Wharf and all the historical sites. Chad was fantastic at telling us what we needed to know about the boat and the marina and giving suggestions. He was easy to get in touch with if we had questions or issues. We didn’t have any issues. Will definitely tell our friends and hope to come back another time to stay. Highly recommend!

boat versus hotel
when viewing VRBO came across a Boat! what an experience!! This boat was very accomidating for the four of us. Beds were extremely comfortable, and just relaxing on the boat was so much better than being in a stuffy hotel room. My siblings were jealous of us and now they want to experience this adventure.

This property were so charming and the hosts are very available if needed and do helpful on all of the local tips and tricks from parking to traffic and water taxis. This was the perfect location for our Boston trip. It was an easy walk to everything and it was so delightful to come back to the boat and sit on the deck in the evenings and play games. It was so comfortable and so much fun!

Incredible Experience
My only complaint is I wish my family had more time! The boat is within walking distance of so much and it is also easy to call a ride share. We are a family of 5 and utilized the dining nook as a third bed…my son loved his little sleeping nook! Chad and Holly were incredibly helpful and friendly hosts. The boat itself and living space were roomier than I expected them to be!

Such a fun adventure!
We weren’t sure what to expect as this was a little out of our comfort zone but it turned out to be one of the most fun experiences. The sunrises were worth waking early for - make a cup of coffee, climb to the deck, and watch the sky turn brilliant colors of red orange and pink. We used the boat shower a couple of times but found it easier to use the Marina showers. We didn’t cook on the boat but the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the boat was cozy and we’d totally do it again. Chad was on the spot for every question and was a welcoming host.
