Had an amazing stay here. The whole hotel is beautiful and as you walk into reception to be greeted by a roaring fire with wellies all around it, you know you are going to enjoy your stay. Everywhere was immaculate, the rooms were very well equipped. We had afternoon tea, which was lovely, and plenty of good quality cocktails. Breakfast was excellent too. Lovely, lovely staff. Can't fault it, amazing hotel.

Thanks for the hospitality and the wonderful staff at The Lainston House. The reception team were superb, especially Kamile and the Portuguese chap. I actually wish I could have booked and stayed for longer. See you back soon!

The room looked very nice but was freezing cold! We were shown to the room and the guy put the heading on. It was on all night and was still cold. You walked from the main house to the wing where our room was and it got colder. Ok it was the first cold spell of the winter but the wife got dressed for bed. Shame. No kettle in the room just a drinks dispenser with tabs. Cannot drink the tap water either. The best bit was the bed it was first class and very comfortable . The breakfast we had room service. The cooked breakfast had been around a while and was warmed up it it was not freshly cooked . The easy finishing touches were missing beautiful place. Disappointing and hoped for bettter

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. I am sorry that there were shortfalls during your stay and the team should have paid more attention. There should have been two bottles of water in your room and I apologise if this was not the case. Please let me take this opportunity to assure that the water from the taps is perfectly safe to drink. I do hope that we will get the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future and provide you with the perfect stay. Best intentions, James Webb Operations Manager.

Beautiful hotel

Excellent hotel with fabulous grounds. It is normally pricey but we got good deal including breakfast. Really enjoyed the grounds... Wellies that I borrowed had a hole but they weren't to know and I was glad not to be going back with wet shoes (hadn't brought waterproof ones myself).

Very comfortable hotel

The hotel really is beautiful and offers a high level of comfort and service. Rooms are a good size and bathrooms are luxurious. The shower was massive and the spa bath was great. Only drawback was the noisy corridor outside the room
