It was evident upon arrival that a lot more effort was put into the restaurant side rather than the accommodation. The area surrounding the tents was poorly maintained and overrun with nettles, which is obviously not very suitable for young children. Inside the beds were well made and clean and fresh towels were provided along with basic tea and coffee making facilities. However, the floor had not been cleaned and there were several small puddles through the tent, a broken floor lamp was being propped us with a bedside table. At around 9pm we sat outside the tent on the decking area and spotted a DOZEN large rats running around within a few meters of us! Presumably caused by the livestock kept on site.Breakfast in the morning was lovely, and I cannot fault the restaurant staff, their service was impeccable. We were however a little dissapointed to discover that the free breakfast included was only for 2 adults and there were 3 adults and 2 chidren in our party. This was not made clear when booking.

Fit only for dog owners who sleep with their dogs

Pros: Staff were friendly

Cons: Deep cleansing of rooms and stair carpet to rooms.

Location: Location handy for Whittlesey or Peterborough.

The place was infested with dogs, not just pet "friendly" as advertised. The accommodation had a strong odour of dogs, with dog hair in carpets etc. We booked and paid for 4 nights - mistake. Had to leave after one night (asthma attack) and was unable to contact ebookers - they wouldn't answer phone (kept on hold for 30+ mins). Owner was sympathetic but unable to refund costs. Ebookers have not replied to my letter of complaint. A truly abysmal experience.

An absolute Gem!

We were not expecting the luxury that awaited us when we pulled up. It doesn't look that impressive from the outside but don't be fooled, this is boutique hotel of a high standard! The room was massive with really high ceiling with beams and decorated with taste! The food in the restaurant was pricy but worth it! The breakfast was also top notch, couldn't fault it! Excellent.
