It has a rear patio with a sunny aspect, outdoor seating and barbecue, as well as a front pebbled area with seating and views of Pen-y-Ghent. Situated on the Pennine Way between Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent, the property makes an ideal base for those wishing to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge. The Settle-Carlisle railway runs through the village, and the occasional steam train can be spotted as well. Settle boasts a variety of independent shops, pubs and restaurants, along with a swimming pool and golf course just 5 miles away. A little closer to home, there are two pubs in the village just a short stroll away. Shop and restaurant 5 miles, pub 500 yards.

Lovely large cottage, great location for the Three Peaks
We spent a great long weekend here, a three-generational family group with young children. The bedroom layout worked perfectly for us, with plentiful bathrooms as well as lots of space. The views of Pen-y-ghent were unanticipated and breathtaking, and Horton is a lovely village with a nice play park and river. Lots of great places (Ribblehead, Malham, Settle) in very easy reach, and I ran around the Three Peaks course from the door which was a highlight. Would recommend, so clean and very tasteful. Well appointed and easy access whenever you arrive. Perfect.

Well placed and equipped accommodation in the west Dales
The property is very good, well equipped, very clean and roomy. The location worked well with an endless choice of walks and excellent view from front of house. The only problem was that the terraces are not labelled so we knocked on the wrong door because the given code did not work on the key safe, as it shouldn't have as it was the wrong house! Perhaps it would be helpful to point out that there are two terraces to future clients. Perhaps we had not read the instructions carefully enough.
