Lovely rennovated and well maintained building, lovely room (106), lovely staff and lovely ambience. I booked an extra night and then will be back 29th. Not only is it better than anything locally with more little extras but the price is amazing. Coming back to the staff morning, afternoon or evening they were all lovely. From a two bag teapot for breakfast to a jug of water whilst I had a teams meeting to a little mince pie with my afternoon cuppa. A M A Z I N G! Please share this - you should be really really proud of what you deliver for me as a customer. Thank you.

Another great stay at the George, Amesbury
Warm, bright, friendly. Room smallish but attractively furnished and the bed was so comfortable. Nespresso coffee and biscuits and a bottle of water were very welcome. Excellent and delicious breakfast, good choice, i loved the eggs Royal. Been here two or three times now, would recommend.

We love the george!
We loved our stay at The George! We were away for a wedding and the team let us take our key prior to check in and took that bags up to our room so that we could enjoy our day out! Breakfast was great and made fresh to order. The hotel has so much character, felt warm and cosy, we would 100% stay again!

We very much enjoyed our stay at The George Hotel Amesbury. It was nice to stay in a traditional hotel with a history rather than an ultra modern hotel. The staff were very helpful and polite. Everything was very clean. Would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel. Will use again when in area.
Excellent stop over. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint which was no reflection on the actual staff but there seemed a lack of them. They were run ragged trying to deal with an almost full restaurant but otherwise couldn’t fault it. Within walking distance of Stonehenge and the opportunity to view it without having to pay a hefty admission charge. All in all an excellent choice.

The hotel is beautiful and very comfortable. Check in was simple and the lady on the front desk was very welcoming and informative. We had drinks in the bar area, a lovely area to sit and relax. Check out was easy too. I had a small issue at breakfast but it was quickly resolved with no question. I have family in the area and will definitely stay again 😊

This is a lovely historic property with a top-notch chef/kitchen. Food was probably the best feature. Beautiful interior spaces. Comfortable room except for the noise outside—our room was right next to the road, snd because of how old the building is there’s no sound mitigation. So it felt like the passing vehicles and people on the street were right in our room! I would stay here again if I could get a room in another location not right next to the street.
