Comfortable and well located

Pros: Well located, comfortable, varied menu comprising regular menu and specials board - food very good, waiting staff attentive and friendly.
Cons: The building is lit up at night. Although the window has a blackout blind it's too small meaning that there is a lot of light 'bleed' around it.
Location: Very handy for visiting Rye, Camber Sands and the surrounding area.
We booked a single night for a mini break to the area. Hotel is easy to find, plenty of parking. 5 minutes drive into Rye, 10 minutes to the Camber Sands beaches. Rood comfortable with Juliet balcony overlooking the garden, double bed, tea making kit, biscuits and bottles of water a nice touch. Large modern TV. Restaurant is a strong point - menu is relatively simple but well executed and tasty we had lamb shanks / steak & kidney pudding / baked plaice / prawn tempura / Eton Mess. Would definitely come back again for a longer stay.

2 day stay

Pros: As above
Location: Close to Rye, Camber and Winchelsea
Characterful oast house. Well placed for touring.Staff very pleasant, food very good. Lovely bedroom and bathroom

Quiet location, easy walking to Rye town

Pros: beautiful oast building and black and white wood frame on the wall and ceiling .
Cons: Fix the TV with all access more tv programmes and subtitles
Location: Nearby Hythe, Rpmmey and Dymchurch Railway (travel by bus from Rye station to Rommey town then 10 mins walk there).
disappointed that TV don't provide freeview or subtitles or not enough children TV program for children. No relaxing garden or simple playground for children. prefer bath than shower. Not provide soft drinks for children like fruit shoots or carton.

I am sorry you were disappointed. All our rooms have TV/DVD players and Freeview. Whilst we do not provide carton drinks we have a fully stocked bar which offers a range of soft drinks for children including Apple Juice, Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, Pineapple Juice etc along with Squashes.

Pleasant surroundings

Enjoyed the dinners in the restaurant, very wholesome and well cooked. Nice atmosphere in the round dining room and staff who served were very friendly Breakfast, plenty to choose from but different person cooked each day and some were cooked better than others. Staff were friendly but appearance of some a little scruffy.

Oasts Inn/hotel set up in a lovely part of the country a few miles from Rye. Lovely garden and free car park. We stayed in the family room with bathroom and toilet.All in very good stylish decorative order and very cleaned.Lovely view of a well looked after garden.Toileteries are generously provided in the room as well as tea,coffee,hot chocolate and buiscuits. Full breakfast was included in the price of the room.We had dinner at the Inn,service took quiet sometimes as busy that evening. Easily booked online. It is quiet isolated so will need a car to visit Rye. All in all, a very pleasant stay at this hotel and no hesitation in recommending it. .Well worst the expense!

UNIQUE SETTING AND HOMELY FACILITIES

EXCELLENT FOOD IN A VERY UNUSUAL SETTING OF THE CONVERTED OAST HOUSES. FRIENDLY AND ATTENTIVE STAFF AND COMFORTABLE FACILITIES WITH EASY ACCESS TO RYE AND THE SUSSEX COAST AND COUNTRYSIDE
