Vicki the owner was very helpful, providing information prior to our break, and resolving minor issues during our stay. The accommodation itself is very nice, an older style chalet in a quiet area of the campsite, fronted by a large safe green space. Although an older property
It has been modernised with laminate flooring, full size fridge freezer, dishwasher, good cooking facilities and modern furnishings . There is heating and heated towel rail, and new electric shower. Clean and tidy, though not too high end. Perfect for a long weekend away or a cheap week away for exploring.
The campsite is standard park dean site place with amusement arcade, kids love them, I hate them! Decent indoor pool ( with excellent vigilant lifeguards) and a reasonable play park. Shop and bar on site etc.
The surrounding area. Best part of camber beach is about 15/20 minutes walk away from site or short drive though parking isn’t cheap at up to £10 all day. Brilliant beach though!!! Camber is a little run down with a few shops and takeaways. We had great fish and chips from pelican chippy on walk back from beach. Quite close to Rye, which we didn’t visit this time, but is normally a nice place to visit. We headed to Dungeness, did the lighthouse then the miniature railway to Dymchurch and New Romney, a lovely day out for the kids. The location is very good for exploring the whole area.
Finally must add, 100% nicer site than Pontins down the road. I wondered in for a nose around. I’ll say no more!
