It was noisy, train runs over the hotel. The area is a little dirty and rooms are so small that you can't open your suitcases.

It is 2 metro stations away from Colloseo. Room was double, and very nice for a hotel room. Not exactly the town center like luxury hotels, but still very close by metro. Check in out, and taxi very good.

I mean, you get what you paid for. There isn’t 24/7 front desk service as advertised on their website, but when there was someone in the front, they were pleasant and helpful. There was no one from 11am-4pm which is odd, and made check in super difficult. I was lucky that some people who were also staying there opened the door for me. But I had to wait in the lobby for 2h which isn’t fun. The room was sad. Dark, dingy, the shower was so small I could barely wash my hair properly (I’m a small 5’4 girl for reference). It definitely needs renovating. There was a very thin sheet for covers. I guess you can mostly commend it for its location, near metro and train stations, and multiple bus stops.

Good spot for a stay in Rome.
Simple hotel that delivered. Staff helpful. Convenient breakfast area for a quick morning departure. Many restaurants in the area. Close to Ostiene station and the Pyramid subway station. Good value for the money.

I visited Rome with the intent of walking to all our sites and found this location most affordable with the amenities we wanted. Just an idea of the walking distance, it's an hour walk to the Vatican. Would I stay here again? ABSOLUTELY! Staff was friendly and there was enough places nearby for all our needs - grocery store, places to eat and an awesome gelateria. Things that threw me off about this location: 1) room was oddly designed - as it turns out, my room was actually two small rooms combined into one with one of the two bathrooms converted into a very large shower. 2) train tracks directly behind the building - when we first arrived, we opened the windows to air out the strong citrus deodorizer and saw only train tracks behind the building. Not scenic but not a deal breaker. Just kept the windows closed the whole time (like I do at home). 3) hot water takes a bit of time to warm up - apparently, plumbing is a problem all over Rome. We had to leave the hot water running for a few minutes before use. Also not a big deal. Overall, staying at the Crossroad Hotel was a pleasant experience and would suggest this place to anyone visiting Rome.

The pictures are very deceiving! On the site, looks like a nicer property. Mold in the shower, ants crawling everywhere, window RIGHT NEXT to a train, shower had no baracade on the floor so water went everywhere. There was just a drain in the middle of the floor, that’s it. We had to go through sooo many towels because of this. I attempted to go to the front desk, no one was present. I don’t need the nicest hotel, I rarely ever write reviews... but this property was just horrible. It’s also in the bad neighborhood of Rome. The distance from everything was also a lie. The bus/train is mandatory if you plan on going anywhere or doing anything. I’d never recommend this property to anyone.

Crossroads Hotel Stay (October 2018)
Our stay at the Crossroads Hotel was mostly fine. The accommodations are tight with every inch or centimeter of space utilized. This concept worked in the sleeping quarters with the, “closet” behind the bedding area, but the desk is just a sliver with a very small and hard metal backless seat and even worse, the space between the toilet and shower stall was not even comfortable for the thinnest of humans! The hotel is located in a busy neighborhood with plenty of inexpensive dining options (we enjoyed the healthy-oriented burger joint at the corner) and the Roman version of a pyramid five minutes away. Front desk staff were pretty helpful. Breakfast was continental and fairly decent. And lastly, the Metro is close by.

an acceptable hotel if you want it only very cheap
Compared with the price you pay the hotel is ok. But in general the hotel quality is not very high. The locality is not very good either. The temperature of our hotel room was good, we had an air-conditiner on all night. The quality of breakfast is acceptable.

Good hotel, walking distance to the metro (and good sweets/ice cream). Room was nice and there was always a friendly (and English speaking) person at the front desk who are very helpful. Bed was a little hard for my taste but not terrible. However the shower is very tiny. My husband barely fit, and there was no way to lean over to shave my legs.

Budget hotel with the very basics
Although this is not near any of the landmark sights, I did not find commuting a problem as the bus stops, metro station and train statiosn are close by. The staff were excellently helpful in a city whose general population I did not find very friendly. The breakfast was croissants and bacon slices and cheese and cut fruit on all the days I was a resident..no tea / coffee dispenser in the room was a dampener though..also the fact that all TV channels are Italian was a downside .. however given the cost, cannot say it’s been a bad deal..if you are not looking to spend much and looking for the most basic accommodation, this is definitely an option..
