I had booked and paid for my stay before arrival. On arrival i was asked to pay again for my room. I said that i had paid on booking and this was accepted. I was informed that breakfast was included which i questioned as on the website it states breakfast is not included. On departing i was asked to pay again. I showed the receptionist proof of payment and this was accepted, then she tried to charge me for breakfast. I refused to pay this as i had been told it was included.

We only stayed for 1 night. The staff were very helpful as I have a problem with stairs they moved us to a first floor room.

Family and pet friendly stay in New Forest

We stayed over one night and had a great time in the smaller then average swimming pool! Dog was well received, they even had dog towels for muddy paws! Only complaint is that breakfast was not included in online price and it was not very aboundant as you would expect for hefty price tag of £35 for a family of 5. But all in all a lovely getaway for the whole family!

Pleasant stay

Stayed 2 nights. Was a pleasant hotel and I would stay there again. Couple of the staff lacked a little charisma. Bed needed an extra blanket but couldn't find one in the room. Stairs in the room and corridor were a bit creaky and loud.

Nice hotel.

Beautiful setting.. however stayed over a weekend where there was a wedding. It was so loud and we were right above the wedding itself. Couldn't have window open as too noisy. Couldn't use garden abs the make shift restaurant had the curtains closed so we couldn't see out. Total disregard for other guests that weren't part of wedding. Husband had an early morning start due to a triathlon so not impressed at all. They did give us this night for free but we should have been placed in a room away from the wedding not the worst one above it. Or if they can't facilitate other guests don't let other guests stay. The 2nd night was lovely and food very good. But overall not great because if the above... always ask if there is a wedding during your stay... I feel the hotel should have told us so we could make an informed decision about staying there. I know others complained to.
