I had a wonderful stay at the Great House. The room was well furnished with a great bathroom. The setting by the river at Sonning is very picturesque and the Coppa Club for breakfast and dinner works so well.

Amazing stay
Wonderfully designed hotel and bedrooms, complete with finishing details. Large comfortable beds with working heating provided a warm cosy evening. Beautiful landscape and surrounding views. Would love to visit in the summer and enjoy a ride along the river.

The garden of the property borders on Thames, and is very peaceful. Our room was comfortable and clean. We selected the hotel because, while not at Heathrow Airport, it took around 45 minutes to get to the airport to drop of the hired car. Next time I would try to arrive earlier in the day to allow us to see more of Sonning.

Like our room, clean and good amenities. Linens, bedding comfortable. Being in Sonning, always traffic over the bridge which is annoying, because the village is charming. Staff were friendly, willing but not “crisp” in service.
