Smell on 3rd Floor
The property seemed rather old and the third floor rate of marijuana. The ice machine did not work on the fourth floor, but did on the eighth floor. They should have an icemaker on every floor. The restaurant that served breakfast was awful. The biscuit and gravy at McDonald’s down the road was better than what they had on the breakfast buffet at the restaurant. The carpets need to be cleaned are totally new put in as they were very old and smelly. My mattress had a huge butt lump so the mattress needs to be replaced.

i booked this night back in april thru hotel.com. evidently two parts to this property a tower which is featured in photos and a separate building which is a motel with outside doors. that was not mentioned in your description . the tower has to be requested. queen beds hard and small. room small. bathroom is very small. we survived it for one night. it was clean the only plus. checkin in clerk was polite.

Place was clean which is the most important. Hallway smelled a little weird but luckily room didn’t. Beds were decent but definitely not comfortable just not unbearable- pillows were rock hard. Guest services was nice at check in. When they serviced the room they made the beds but didn’t change the sheets which was obv due to an accident. You can hear cars on interstate. Security at parking lot. Seemed like a safe location. Close to lots of stuff and super close to universal. Shuttle was a few drop off and pick up times, didn’t use though so can’t review just offering that info. Didn’t eat breakfast as it seemed overpriced. Overall for the price can’t beat a quick universal trip stay. Don’t expect five star for the price and you’ll be fine.

I took my 2 children and there was plenty of room in our room for them to play, sleep soundly, pool was plenty big, walking distance of restaurants and dessert. Not to mention the great amenities ! Definitely will be back

The staff is very friendly and courteous. There was a slight smell upon entering the room but that went away with ventilation. Of the 4 days I spent there I only got the coffee refilled once. I especially didn’t like that I wasn’t informed at check in that there was a $10 holding fee for packages delivered especially when the same sign was missing at check out.

The hotel room was a little dated, but overall it was fine. I was a little worried before we got there as there were reviews mentioning cockroaches etc, but we found the room to be very clean. The staff were nice and friendly. The pool area was clean and had free towels etc. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but there appeared to be a good selection. There was an IHOP within 10 min walk. It was easy to get to Universal etc. The main restaurant only opens Thursday to Sunday, so we had to reschedule some things to make use of the VIP discount we got from booking with Expedia (discounted meal). It was very nice though. Would certainly stay again, especially given the price.

Although the hotel has the style and decor of the 70s/80s the room was clean and well serviced every day. Towels and linen were clean although larger towels were a little small. It is great value for money and you get what you pay for. The AC unit in the room is a little noisy and depending on where your room is located, you can hear the traffic from the nearby highway. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There is a nearby Walgreens (24 hour convenience store) and plenty of dining choices nearby to the hotel. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to Universal. Overall, great stay for anyone looking for a property on a budget.
