I chose for the location so I could walk to Universal and it delivers on that! There was an issue with the shower leaking but I decided it wasn't a big enough issue to have them fix it right away and was able to close the bathroom door so I didn't hear it overnight. The shower and everything worked and I was comfortable in the room. They do have a free shuttle to Universal but I didn't need to use it because it was only a 15 minute walk anyway. The area felt safe and relatively quiet. I did have an issue with some of the staff... It seems that they had a scam situation going on at one of the desks in the lobby or something because when I checked in the person gave me a paper that said I could get discount coupons for universal, but then when I inquired with the other desk he said I was entitled to a welcome gift of either $200 or tickets to Universal?? Which is definitely too good to be true. After telling me I needed to schedule a tour the following morning and talking around my questions I realized I was not getting $200 or Universal tickets and have no idea what the intention of this person was. I'm from Canada so I'm not used to this scammy nature of US businesses so I was really overwhelmed by this and it negatively affected my stay. Instead of heading to Universal right away I ended up going back to my room to decompress because he gave me a lot of anxiety just talking to him. There's other hotels in the area so I probably wouldn't stay there again to avoid that

We always enjoy our stay at the Holiday Inn and Suites across from Universal Studios. The hotel shuttle makes going to the attraction easy and convenient. I do wish our regular room came qith a microwave as the only one available is in the lobby gift shop and is closed at times.

I paid Expedia $140 and at the end of our stay we were up to $180 because of hidden fees and as we were checking out at the end, we were charged $27.95 for parking at the hotel for one night with one car. So the total cost of our hotel stay was over $200. This hotel has a lot of hidden fees!!!

Had a very bad experience from being scammed going to the other reasoner.. To getting groceries stolen from my room from employees to getting all my belongings removed from drawers. Honestly after this even tho it’s a walking distance from Orlando studios I would not stay here again. Staff was supposed to follow up and nothing yet.

Dirty dirty dirty! cleaning is not their strong! Needs renovations asap, the day we checked in we left the hotel to another hotel because of how dirty it was!

We like the attached TGIF restaurant. The property itself appears to be well maintained and it was quiet. The rooms are a bit run down, the carpet was old and dirty, and our bathroom had mold. When we turned on the heat, it stunk up the room and we had to air it out.

By far the worst hotel we’ve stayed , thankfully only a couple of nights. Very outdated and in urgent need of refurbishments. The smell in the room was unbearable , a mixture of bleach and damp/mould After a 6 hours journey all we wanted was to take a shower, no towel in the room !! We rang, waited and waited …. In the end we had to fetch some ourselves No apologies whatsoever from unhelpful stall No facilities on site, breakfast is next door, grotty and sticky TGF Avoid !!
