When we arrived the rooms were not ready but the reception area toilet was not working so we had to leave the hotel to find a bathroom after our 3 hour drive there. Also there is no lift and the stairway is very narrow. It was difficult for me to get our large North Face rolling duffel bags up to the room 3 floors up. The staff seemed indifferent to our arrival. Choice of hotels is limited in Oban but I would try the Perle Oban Hotel in the future. We had 5 people in 3 rooms.
Hotel was really nice staff very helpful and breakfast lovely. Only slight issue was the trundle bed in room for 3rd person was very uncomfortable and had to end up sleeping in sofa instead
Oban is a beautiful town on the water, with a variety of options for dining and shopping. The hotel is centrally located, in a safe area, the rooms are quite large and it was very quiet at night. No parking on premises but that is the case with most hotels in Oban. Plenty of car parks, though, located near the hotel.
Pros: Spacious room. Impressive water pressure in the shower. Everything in great condition. Location is central. Good breakfast.
Cons: The wall is paper-thin; you can hear everything in the hallway. Staff did everything they were supposed to, but they could be more friendly.
Clean, comfortable hotel close to the railway station and town centre. I had a small room and the hotel were honest and said it was probably best suited to solo travellers or short stays. The room was big enough but the bathroom was tiny. Fine for solo travellers though. Very clean and comfortable.
Just as it is advertised, clean comfortable and in a great area for reasonable price.
Replacing the coffee etc in the room for guests staying more than one night would be good as well.
Toilet wasn’t working right. Did not know there wasn’t an elevator and had to carry bags up three flights of stairs. Very small room, but clean and bed was comfortable.
