The Rooms are a little bare, could do with a set of drawers for furniture, no fridge, no bottled water, we had to ask for tea bags. House keeping means they make the bed.But, No cleaning or reset of room happens so bring some wipes.

Like staying at a cheap noisy holiday camp
Awful stay. If you are not part of the wedding dont bother. You cant escape the loud music, children running round and dogs barking. All in the same bar and eating area as the guests. Bed room also unclean, carpets ripped and wallpaper peeling off. Cant sleep either with constant doors banging as rooms all in a small row. Nothing the same as the photos shown on the advert!

Nice break away.
Room was clean and comfortable, could have done with a towel heater in the bathroom so we had somewhere to put our wet swim wear. Staff very friendly, the meal in the evening was nice and filling. Would look at coming here again.

NEVER AGAIN - SLAMMING DOORS
A few years ago I decided never to stay here again because it's such a big hotel, used by large groups for events. I've had several poor nights sleep here. Last week I thought I'd try again but same experience- a terrible night's sleep - I arrived late and went to my room and went to bed at about 11 pm, but I was woken up FIVE times by groups of people walking past the door, talking loudly on their way to bed and letting their room doors slam when they went in. It's absolutely the worst hotel I stay in for this. Probably fine for heavy drinkers or late-to-beds.

Had a lovely stay rooms were big and clean, the hotel staff were all lovely, facilities were good. Only problem was the restaurant, we went half board and the food was sooo slow, the mains took over an hour to come out and on the second night our burger was cremated and dry and the and chips were bland. The pork belly and ox cheek on the first night were worth the wait though. So a mixed review, we would visit again but just get a takeaway delivered to the hotel probably.

Overall good service; uncertain of a return
Room was clean; check-in swift however there were two wedding receptions that eve. Prior warning was given and I was asked that if it was too noisy, to come to reception and they would see what they could do about moving me to another room although the hotel was fairly booked for obvious reasons. The main frustration was the fire alarm which was set off at c.22.30 (at which time I was asleep with my child) because a guest had been permitted to set off either a firework or a large candle topper sparkler either in or near the building. The team attended to the incident quickly but it was disappointing that this had happened in the first place. Roughly an hour later, a short sound of fire alarm triggered again and again, waking everyone in the hotel. When asked the reception staff int he morning, they explained no compensation could be given as this was a safety precaution for guests (ok - but not the circumstances giving rise to that) but the second alarm was apparently “routine” Which I do not agree with. I stay at the hotel perhaps 5-6 times a year and whilst I appreciate certain circumstances are beyond control of staff, I would have expected a closer eye be maintained on guests to preserve safety and ensure fireworks etc aren’t lit in/near to the building. I will be re-considering whether I stay here again as I cannot imagine this occurring at nearby and well-known prestigious brand hotels.
