Asked for a quiet room - got a noisy one. Got moved and got a room above the restaurant where the staff banged doors all night. Not very happy at all!!!!!

Perfect for the night before the great north run. Quiet, easy to access from the motorway, and a two minute walk to the start of the metro line. Staff really friendly and helpful, and a cute touch having bananas, mars bars, water, safety pins, plasters etc for runners to grab on the way out the door in the morning. The only grumble was the room was roasting, and I couldn't leave the AC on all night as it made a loud squeaking noise all night. Otherwise perfect!
