This is an absolute gem. Jane and Chris were enormously welcoming and could not do enough for me. I had a very pleasant hour in the early evening sitting by the river with a cup of coffee! The room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom immaculate and the breakfast to die for. I almost didn't write a review in order to keep this lovely place to myself...!
Stayed here to visit Upton, just 4 miles down the road. The house is in a fantastic rural location with gardens running down to the Severn. Views are superb. The house in modern, the facilities excellent and the hosts very welcoming and friendly.
On our arrival we were made most welcome by Jane who invited us to a very welcome coffee and cake. This high standard of attention continued throughout our three day stay and nothing was left to chance. We were most impressed by the offer of the use of the dinning room should we want to eat in one evening with our take away! Only wish that the residence was sign posted - we did have difficulty in finding the B&B.
This is best B&B that my wife and I have ever stayed in - and better than most of the hotels also,.
Others have commented on various aspects of the property, the location and the owners. We would agree with all the 'plus' ones and consider that any of the detrimental ones are from persons looking for something to criticise just to show how 'superior' they are.
Please be aware that the entry off the road is through a narrow gap with a "Bridleway" sign and you may have to open a gate before you descend to the house which is truly "Riverside", but by golly, it is worth it
I visited Malvern to visit friends, not so much a holiday, the weather was really poor, but waking up in the morning and looking out at the river put a big smile on my face, it’s in a beautiful location.
our stay there was great Jane and Chris the owners were a joy to meet made our stay memerable they were so accomadating and helpful and funny, room was great, breakfast was very tasty facilities in our room was good and the views there were stunning
Met with a very warm welcome and a fresh filter coffee! Very hospitable and helpful with advice and recommendations. The B&B is slightly off the beaten track, but is in reasonable proximity to Malvern, Worcester and others - plenty of local pubs and restaurants.
Lovely b & b on the banks of the Severn.
We used as a base for visiting Malvern.
It's only a 15 minute drive from the town.
We had the smallest room, but the bed was very comfortable with plentiful facilities of teas, coffee etc. Fresh milk was ro died in a thermos.
Breakfast was stupendous and cooked to order
We enjoyed a wonderful 4 nights' stay here. The setting by the River Severn is excellent. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and there is also a guest lounge. The owners were very friendly, and the breakfast excellent. The only couple of downsides were the very rough and steep access track for the last hundred yards or so, and, being a new property, noise travelled very easily. However neither of these should put you off staying here and enjoying Malvern and its wonderful countryside.
Having stayed at the Severnside B & B on business for five nights, we found it to be a very tranquil stay and truly relaxing, certainly after a hard days work. The scenery is second to none. Both Jane and Chris are very hospitable and made us feel very welcome. Would I recommend this B & B to my friends? absolutely.
In a hamlet near to Malvern is a B&B where you receive tea and cake on arrival, get a bus timetable printed for you in 5 minutes and have a lovely choice of breakfast including home-made yoghurt. The ground/garden right beside the river Severn boasts a small orchard with fallen apples and plums to munch into. It was a very enjoyable stay and is a base for exploring not only the Malvern Hills but other Worcestershire places of interest.
