4 night stay at Thatchers hotel, East Horsley
We stayed 4 nights at Thatchers hotel, East Horsley. We asked for a spacious room as we had a wedding to attend and clothes to lay out. We also asked for twin beds, few stairs, a lift if possible, oat milk, Bran Flakes and an iron and ironing board. All these were provided, just as requested. We had a problem with locking our luggage in the wrong room. Jack on Reception sorted out our difficulty cheerfully, and greeted us whenever we saw him. All the staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Our room was very clean on our arrival and was serviced without our even requesting it. The hotel was in a lovely setting and even though the road ran quite close to the grounds, it was peaceful inside. There was a spacious feel to the hotel, with plenty of areas to relax, chat or rest in comfortable chairs. Simone usually served us in the pleasant dining room and often remembered our orders without our telling her. She was very friendly and attentive.

Hotel looks good, service very poor to check in, when ordering a drink young staff giggling when others made a mistake, long wait to be seen to check in, long wait to b seated for breakfast with the breakfast order completely messed up. Seems many inexperienced staff doing the service.
