This secluded studio sits in an elevated position on equestrian property, above the popular Tyne Valley village of Haydon Bridge. It offers a peaceful environment and beautiful setting yet within easy reach of local amenities. Haydon Bridge is just over half a mile away and has a small supermarket, butchers’ shop, newsagent, selection of shops and a choice of three local pubs.
Step inside the studio and you will find a welcoming open plan living space with well equipped kitchen, cosy living room with gas log burner for cooler evenings, dining area and a large bedroom with twin beds. The studio is tucked away giving lots of peace, quiet and privacy, and there are fantastic views over the Tyne Valley. Adjacent to the studio is a stable block and tack room, extending to a large paddock area where the horses graze. There is an outside decked area set with table and chairs and a perfect spot to sit with an early morning coffee and listen to the birds.
The beautiful surrounding area provides walks and other country pursuits and is just 3 miles from Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park and the Hadrian’s Wall Cycleway from which to enjoy the spectacular countryside. You can discover the famous Vindolanda Roman Fort, The Sill Landscape Discovery Centre and the world-famous Sycamore Gap. A great place to be as the region leads towards a year long festival of events and activities to celebrate Hadrian’s Wall’s 1900th birthday in 2022.
A visit to the historic market town of Hexham is a must, boasting a stunning abbey, the oldest gaol in the country and an abundance of eclectic shops, restaurants and pubs. Continue to the beautiful Roman town of Corbridge and meander round its boutique shops, art galleries and antique shops, stop for a coffee or take a stroll along the river. There is an abundance of eateries to choose from. The location is excellent for exploring the spectacular scenery of the north of England, the stunning Northumberland coast, the Scottish borderland and the Lake District National Park, which is just an hour away. The vibrant city of Newcastle is under 30 miles away.
