I stay away alot for work and this was not a good experience. The staff i met were lovely but its not what i expected. They've done a good job with marketing photos. It was clean except for the leaking toilet and disgusting toilet brush that put me off. Travelling alone so safety paramount but felt anxious. Ate in pub and food and service good. Asked what time i wanted breakfast so said 8.30am but next morning found the door between pub and accommodation locked. Pub all closed up. I wasnt the only resident in same situation. Found man sweeping in yard who told me he didnt really work there and didnt know where the chefs were and advised i complain. So left without breakfast and feeling stressed.
Lovely room and staff very friendly and attentive. Nice breakfast included too. Wouldn't stay again as we couldn't sleep until 1am at least each night as we could hear everything from the bar and then guests above us once they moved upstairs.
I had an excellent stay at The Horse Inn. The host was very welcoming, and the room was clean and tastefully furnished. My only criticism was that it could have been warmer, and there was no plug to the sink. The breakfasts were superb.
Excellent main chef, very good evening meal for ourself and a few friends. Helpful and friendly staff. Main complaint is that of poor housekeeping in the room, lack of effective checking that all is as it should be. Our room and bed was not made up on the second day. We mentioned this to the The Horse management and they agreed standard was not right, they offered a complementary bottle of wine. Looks like they outsource room cleaning and they are not up to an acceptable standard. Probably won’t stay there again. Sad, because they are nice people.
The room was clean and comfortable, the pub and village were gorgeous. The room is directly over the bar though and had loud music till well after midnight. I only went to bed then, so it wasn’t an issue for me, but it might be for others.
Excellent little pub, very friendly staff. Good choice of food and drinks. I was leaving early before breakfast so was left a packed lunch in a fridge on the landing. Only downside is the lack of parking.
This was a fantastic place to stay and unwind after work. My room was spotless, lovely bathroom and a great restaurant and bar to enjoy. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Teaghan who was ever so helpful and professional. Thanks guys, see you again soon I hope.
Lovely friendly welcoming staff. Nice pub and also a good cooked breakfast. Thanks

Liked: Staff & service
Property was clean. Shower was too small - head was touching the ceiling when standing in the bath / shower. Shouldn’t really be billed as a shower really unless you are under 5ft2. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and diner were both really nice.
