The Space:
Hidden in a meadow known as Night Pastures, Willow Yurt is hand crafted using hardwood that once grew just ½ a mile away. Natural light from an oak stable door and three picture windows complete with blinds flood the space and, if you want to get even closer to nature, the stable doors can easily be opened to let fresh air and the sounds of the countryside stream in. A luxurious double bed, and four optional single beds complete with fresh linen and chest of drawers makes your rural retreat a home from home. On those rare occasions when the sun doesn't shine, the natural insulation of wood floor, wool rugs and the warmth of a wood burning stove will keep you blissfully comfortable.
Outside, the Yurt deck has a fully-equipped camp kitchen(gas stove [with grill], cups, plates, cutlery, utensils, pots, frying pans, cafetiere etc.), barbecue, washstand and fresh water tap, plus table and chairs - the perfect setting for glorious, memorable alfresco meals and moonlit dinners. Nearby, your safe and snug ‘en-suite’ bathroom hut, complete with non-flushing toilet, Victorian sink, towels and a large walk in hot shower means you can still enjoy the comforts of home whilst out in the field!
** Please note that we now have 4 Yurt camps on our farm. If Willow is not available at the times you want, please also try one of our other camps by copying and pasting the links below into your browser address bar.

The Neighborhood:
Originally a hunting lodge for King Charles II, Lower Lodge Farm's 3,000 acres of rolling fields and ancient woodland are interlaced with ponds and brooks that feed the River Lod. Recognised as a corridor of environmental significance, it is home to a diverse collection of flora and fauna including; cuckoos, kingfishers, deer, badgers, rare orchids, mistletoe and, if you're lucky, even multicoloured rabbits. Amongst the farm's many treasures are woodland walks, streams bristling with fish, ancient woodland clearings and the ruins of an iron forge from the earliest days of the industrial revolution. To cap it all, amidst all this beauty is the privately owned 12th century Shulbrede Priory where Parry wrote the score for Jerusalem. From the comfort and tranquillity of Beech Yurt you too will share, understand, and be at one with the "green and pleasant land" that inspired the stirring music for Jerusalem, the nation's favourite hymn.
Getting Around:
On site parking is available to all guests and taxis from Haslemere (48 mins from Waterloo) or Liphook (58 mins from Waterloo) station are easy to book from the cab ranks outside. We are a firm favorite with cyclists with close proximity to the King Alfreds Way, lots of off road routes, and secure bike storage. There are plenty of local walks for all abilities and some even make a stop off at our amazing local pubs!
Other Things to Note:
Willow Yurt is located on a working family farm so please respect the Country Code at all times and leave no trace. There are many wonderful things the countryside has to offer but when you're tired at the end of a hard day's play we have plenty of board games, maps and books to while away the hours.
Night Pastures is a quiet and peaceful site where people come to relax and enjoy nature. For this reason, we have a strict 10pm curfew and ask everyone to keep noise to a minimum after then.
The nearest shop is a 10min drive so we advise all guests not having glamping packs or takeaways delivered to get shopping done in advance.
Interaction with Guests:
Once you have checked in, you will be left undisturbed to be at one with nature… that is of course unless you need help with anything in which case someone is always on hand!
