Overall stay was really excellent for the periods that we were actually in the hotel. Staff were excellent and were very prompt in providing an answer to my questions about the area. The one problem was having a bar area which would allow guests the opportunity to mix.

Stayed here a few times and normally ok. The room we were given this time smelled of damp and the shower was badly marked and scruffy looking. The shower was less powerful than previously. Woken up early morning with a fire alarm, apparently someone smoking in their room!

Good value stopover accommodation
Good value budget accommodation. Rooms were large, comfortable, clean. Staff were helpful, free onsite parking with motorway services closeby. Only downside was terrible damp smell in corridor but was not present in room thankfully. Its not the ritz but does the needful and would use again.

Dated and grubby
Advertised as recently refurbished but would imagine this is several years ago. Room very grubby with mould in bathroom. Beds very uncomfortable. Very dated hotel.
