“Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your stay. Please accept my sincere apologies regarding the issues with the mould. The reception team would have been more than happy to provide alternative accommodation of the same standard had you contacted them.Extra beds are available at additional cost and this is visible on our website. As you have booked a standard room through our partner Expedia this charge was not included.Furthermore, after speaking with Expedia this morning,as a gesture of goodwill we have removed the charge of the extra bed 15.Best wishes,Andrei SecuianuGeneral ManagerThe Grange Manor HotelGlensburgh RoadGrangemouthFK3 8XJ I 01324 474836

Our room was in the Garden Wing and fell far short of 4* as there was a horrible smell of damp rising from the carpet, the bathroom grout and fittings were mouldy, and the window had mould and condensation. Wifi was very poor. The breakfast was good and the staff pleasant.

Close to the Kelpies

Pros: location
We were looking to visit the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies as we drove through this part of Scotland and this hotel is well placed to get to both of these sights. We arrived on a Saturday during a wedding, with quite a few guests, our room was in the 'annex' and we didn't get any disturbance from the other guests - it was either a very quiet wedding or the soundproofing is good. Breakfast was a bit slow on the Sunday but better on the Monday, although the choice went from a self service buffet (our preference) to placing an order from a menu. There were much fewer guests on the Monday. We ate at the associated restaurant one evening and the food was much better than the limited choice we got when we drove into Falkirk itself on the other evening.
