Had a very enjoyable time. A fair distance to travel but worth it, perhaps some slight need for refreshing the room decor but in essence nothing wrong,. Nice attention paid to the dining experience, even poor weather couldn't upset the charm.

Sadly on this visit the beds and overall perimeter were unkempt and untidy. There may be an intention to let things go wild. However there was a lot of weeds on previous visits everything was pristine

All very good but we should have been informed that prior booking in the restaurant was necessary. Even at booking in we were told that it was ‘walk up’ to the restaurant that was actually fully booked. Otherwise all was excellent.

The Goodwood hotel was absolutely stunning! The staff were so kind and offered a genuine hospitality to everyone. The grounds are ginormous and you can get a map for 2 different walking trails. There is golfing on site. Our nephew was married at the Goodwood house and all I can say is WOW! You must see the inside, it will take your breath away! Overall, a 5 star stay in all ways!

There were instructions on how to use the shower which on the surface was extremely helpful but the sign was too near shower as needed my glasses to read it and was impossible to read without them suggested a relocation of the sign.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Super dog friendly providing excellent facilities for them. Food was very good. Definitely recommend this hotel

A uniquely British hotel with the added Spa and Golf course. The rooms were near perfect and the staff, especially reception made our stay excellent. Also a very good shuttle to and from the Goodwood racecourse. The only issue was getting a table at the restaurant in the evening as it does get booked up and being a bank holiday weekend none of the surrounding pubs had spaces. Eventually we booked a table at 9pm and were not disappointed. Enjoyed a full english the following day followed by a nice walk around the estate (not signposted). Thank you Goodwood.

We were somewhat less enthusiastic about Goodwood in August 2024 than the previous summer. Our room (the same one in which we stayed a year ago) was cold and the heating didn't seem effective. The (British grown) tea available in both the rooms and restaurants was completely insipid. The pool is still great, but the hot tub was only warm. The biggest problem was that the restaurant has moved to a new location with a self-consciously forced, early 20th century agricultural theme. The decor just looked old, dirty and tired in our opinion, including chipped enamel teapots and mugs. It isn't clear whom this move was designed for, but it did not appeal to us. Had we wanted shabby decor, we could undoubtedly have found it at cheaper hotels.
