Kendoon Cabin
Beautiful location. Fairly basic accomodation but comfortable and clean. Really comfy bed. Weather not as bad as expected so did a fair amount of walking. Had 2 dogs with us and they loved it. Only problem is they kept going under the cabin where they found something nasty to lick. Although I know access to pipes etc required suggest something to restrict dog access. Hot tub is wood fired and took ages to fill and bring to temperature (had a couple of questions regarding it but messages to contacts were unanswered) but we managed and it was so worth it sitting there with the amazing view. Unfortunately the good old Scottish midges enjoyed it, and us, too!! Having read previous posts we took padded folding chairs with us so we could relax on the decked area watching the red kites wheeling over the forest across the loch. We were visited by the red squirrels. They ran over the roof of the cabin and sat on the fence. Batteries well and truly recharged.

Fabulous location for relaxing
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Kendoon cabin. It was clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you might need. Local area was lovely. Several nice walks and lovely food at the nearby cafe in Carsphairn and at the Clachan in Dalry.

Cosy place
What a lovely place to stay. Very cosy, clean and simple. Great views and very relaxing and away from people. Even had red squirrels in the wood surrounding the pod. Clear nights watching the stars whilst sat in the hot tub. A memorable holiday.

Stunning property - made our Christmas holiday the best ever!
The Kendoon Cabin may not look like much on the photos but trust me - they don't do it justice. The cabin is bigger than we expected with all the amenities we could have needed, plus lots of amazing extras such as under-floor heating, super wifi and a Christmas tree with sparkly lights. The hot tub was sublime and easy to use as long as you light it in plenty of time - we had the most amazing xmas night sat in there enjoying the stars :) The most sublime part of the whole trip though has to be the scenery...the cabin is set on the most beautiful loch, teeming with wildlife. Very secluded location which was just an absolute treat. You will hear the owls hooting at night but that's about it. Lots of walks close by! Only a few negatives...you will need to be able to deal with having a quick shower as there is not much hot water to go round and the TV kept switching off but neither of these things bothered us much. You will not regret booking the Kendoon Cabin! Hope to visit again soon...

Idyllic; the best place to get away from the world
Knowhead is simply the most charming cottage and relaxing by an open fire every night was fantastic. The grounds that the cottage are situated in are a truly beautiful slice of the Scottish mountain landscape and adjoining what feels like your own private loch is truly the best view to open the curtains to every day. Leaving was the only negative - it was so lovely we could have stayed for weeks!
