Tranquil comfort within easy reach of Cambridge
Stunning building in acres of landscaping, close to Cambridge but oh so tranquil. Welcoming and friendly staff, comfortable room, and delicious breakfast.

The building exterior is beautiful and a pleasure to walk around the grounds with lovely gardens. The interior is well kept and a lott of original features like heavy doors and windows are still in place. The bedrooms (dorms) are simply decorated ,clean and comfortable. Staff in all areas are helpful, very polite, friendly and informative. Thoroughly nice stay.

A wonderful place to stay
We had a really nice 2 night stay. The building and grounds are amazing. Our room was very nice with a comfy bed and soft comfy pillows and duvet. We had four windows with lovely garden views. Room and bathroom were clean. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Check in was easy as was check out. Breakfast was excellent one of the best we have ever had. There was cooked help yourself buffet and continental style breakfast as well tea coffee juices yogurts fruit. Everything you could possible want. The staff at breakfast were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. One lady even offered to take my husband and I's photograph. We had a wonderful stay loved it and will definately stay again when in the area.

Our room wasn’t ready at 6:30 in the evening even though we arrived at 1:30. The staff were very apologetic and offered a £20 refund for the inconvenience. The hall itself was lovely, shame they don’t have a restaurant on site for evening meals. There is a nice pub a 10 minute walk away which did superb meals however

This place was just so lovely! The grounds were just magical, I felt like I was in an episode of Bridgerton or some fancy show. The breakfast was also so great! 10/10 recommend.

Lovely historic building but difficult access
We enjoyed our stay at Madingley Hall. The only complaint we have is that our room was a very long way from reception, and up and down several flights of stairs with no lift to make things easier.

Peaceful & relaxing
Wonderful, peaceful, relaxed. Grounds & walled garden, amazing. Great selection at breakfast. Well placed for getting around; M11-south 5 mins away. Cambridge Park & Ride 10 mins away. American Military Cemetery, Museum & Chapel 5 mins away. Large garden centre near there too. Village pub 5 minutes walk down the Hall's driveway & left into village. Single room: like a residence dormitory, basic but all with all you need; ensuite bathroom, towels & mini toiletries, tv, kettle, small fridge, safe, iron, hairdryer, fan/heater. Clean comfy bed & quiet environment, nothing fancy, but i don't visit places to sit in my room. I loved it here for the location & look foward to return.

Lovely stately home - feels like a very upmarket hall of residence- spacious room - great breakfast - quiet location - great pub 500 metres away .Very limited food offering but nice bar. All the staff were friendly.
