Very noisy room from traffic. Also with only having a venetian blind the room was very bright from dawn. Restaurant food very basic and average at best and very overpriced.

Lovely staff but overall disappointing
Staff were lovely however we didn’t find the room comfortable, bathroom dated and no blackout so sunlight from the early hours. We had very inconsiderate guests around us banging doors until 2am and talking very loudly outside our room. Overall disappointed.

Lovely stay highly recommend
Great friendly stay. Everything great other than the blinds were just normal shutter blinds and let a lot of light in, with no curtains. Especially with an emergency exit light/kitchen light of some sort shining through all night in room 24. Other than that, everything perfect. Comfortable stay

Nice hotel would stay here again.
Clean airy room, lots of natural light. Well appointed and in good condition, fruit and snacks provided in the room. Staff were friendly and professional, I was looking forward to dinner in the restaurant but due to an electrical issue in the kitchen (usually hotel speak for chef tantrum/illness) they could only provide sandwiches and salads. I was informed about this beforehand so I picked up something on the way, only to find out on arrival that it was open again. Never mind enjoyed the KFC anyway! Breakfast at the hotel was good, the breakfast team were efficient. Plenty of parking, and good location I would stay here again.

Very good. Nice room. Staff very friendly. Cooked breakfast very good but continental not good for diabetics fruit sitting in fruit juice yogurt was fruit with sugar added all cereals were with added sugar very unhealthy supposedly healthy options

We stayed overnight while on a journey. The receptionist made up beds in one of the rooms, changing from double to twin despite us arriving at 10pm when reception closes. We didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment about that. Comfortable beds. Blinds but no curtains so room not very dark

Very noisy at night
The food and service in the restaurant and general ambience were excellent but the trip was ruined by the late arrival (between 11pm and 3 am) of several noisy guests who were inconsiderate to the fact that the existing guests were asleep. We will not be staying in this hotel again despite the excellent restaurant.

This is a lovely old building with a modern bedroom wing, good value breakfast and delightful staff. Our room had really poor Wi-Fi that kept dropping out and BBC1 HD had no sound on the Samsung TV. Apart from those technical glitches it was absolute great.

Hotel looked tired, paint peeling off windows, carpets looked like they could do with a deep clean. No one at reception when we arrived, but came after a while. Didn't seem to know if our room had been used for pets which we obviously didn't want.
