I was skeptical but this property was amazing!!! The room was such a great size! It was an easy walk to to Petco Park and the surrounding bars, the staff was great and place was really beautiful and clean.

Our room was ready early, which was nice since we were in town for the rodeo that day. We used our drink tickets at the bar. The old fashions were great and the bartender was friendly. The hotel is old but in a good way. Felt like we went back in time. I have walked by so many times and wondered what it was like inside and it did not disappoint.

I really enjoyed the location of the hotel and the vibe! It is such a gem of a find! Definitely recommend for a stay more than 2 days to enjoy the evening time in the hotel! It was sad that I was not able to enjoy a drink or dinner there as my trip was cut short. Also, it would have been nice to have access to brunch or lunch in their restaurant. But there are other options all around the hotel in the Gaslamp area - I just like convenience!

Good helpful welcome from reception staff. Bar staff also friendly and professional. Very well located hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter. Also easy walk to the sea and centre and it is possible to walk to Balbao Park (as we did). Hotel has character, comfortable bed, a good sized room, also with character.

Stayed here for NYE and NYD. Hotel was nice and clean with old town vibes and charm. The staff and front desk were super nice and accomodating. Location was PERFECT! The only two negatives were that there were a couple times the shower water was lukewarm, plumbing was iffy, and the pillows were too large and hard. But the price for the holiday week were excellent so the front desk didnt get any complaints from me! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would stay again!
