I have stayed at the St Francis all Of my life. It was a horrible, expensive , no service, unclean experience. I arrived to stay 5 days, 2 rooms, without knowing a lot the labor dispute. I asked for a refund to move hotels and was refused. The striking laborers pounded on drums screamed and bled blow horns at everyone coming and going 24/7. No one should stay anyplace without being notified of a labor dispute. No room service no restaurants, the room was dirty . I will never stay there again.

Check in was smooth and easy. Then we discovered employees on strike. The loudness of picketing was very disruptive to our trip. There was limited availability for dining, and a package I had delivered was lost with very little assistance to attempt resolve. Overall—could be a nice hotel—we just didn’t have that “WOW” experience.

Hotel management knew Union was on strike from 7am to 10 pm for days. Food service was impacted to only cold snacks. Terrible noise was generated by union picket. No advance notification was published on hotel website to tell customers. The hotel lost the trust of its customers because they did not tell the truth that a union picket was operating at the front door. They clearly demonstrated that the trust of the hotel was not as important as money!

Hotel staff has zero customer service skills. Hidden fees that force hotel guest to pay that is not listed in total fees or any page on Expedia. When waiting in line to check in, I ease drop on all 6 guest in front of me talking to front desks, everyone seem shock or confused about a daily $30 hidden fee per day they force you to pay or spend at their hotel bar, convenient store…etc. this fee is not listed on any of the booking sites, I have checked 3 times before and after. Classic hidden fee scam that this hotel brand is trying to squeeze their customers. Nor will I stay at Westin or any of the affiliated brand of hotel with the westin

System down at check-in which it can happen but we waited 15 min then someone took us to first room and it was vacant but not clean, then we were moved at a different room, not the bed size we booked, so we were moved to a third room. No sorry for the inconvenience , or apologize , almost like we were annoying them . Then at 6 am we were woken up by loud noises outside which seemed like Westin workers being on strike.

Staff was super friendly and the rooms were very clean. The cable cars stop right out front. We will stay there again.
