We love staying at this hotel. The room is very roomy and comfortable with an outdoor space.
The staff is very friendly and eager to help. Next to the hotel, there is a great market with amazing food. We would love to come back.
Took city train from airport. When we got off city train it was hard to find the bus we needed to get on to to go to the hotel so we took a cab. Cost about 11 euro. Instruction that I got through Watsup from hotel was very clear (make sure you download Watsup app. Most hotel if not all in Europe is the way they will communicate with you) Hotel was great. Easy access to restaurants and bars. It also behind a pharmacy and grocery store. About 30 min walk to the colosseum. Room was clean and cozy. Bathroom is clean decent. Fairly new. Staff was amazing. Very helpful.
If your looking for convenient walking to dine and walking exploring of the artifacts this is the hotel. Right in the middle of everything

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
It’s more like Airbnb than Hotels and they have the system which you have to use code to get in and I was there for 5 day’s and they couldn’t solve the problem.
Total catfish from the photos, and the area really wasn’t the nicest, felt very dodgy around night time. The rooms were also quite cold at night. However the staff were really nice and friendly, and everyday cleaning service was also really good. I’d say more of a two start hotel but it is relatively close to the centre!
This place is a hidden gem in Rome. Amazing rooms, cheap breakfast, close to the city center, close to a metro and train station, beautiful area, nice service. I loved it!
Superbe localisation in cool neigborhood if Rome where you live with the reel Romain . Must see area Eataly

Bedding an issue
The only difficulty was we had booked a TWIN room, confirmed it in writing and by phone and when we checked in only a double bedded room was available. We were 2 single travelers and didn't want to share a small bed. On Hotels.com twin rooms were showing available even when we checked in. Front desk said chambermaid had called in sick so the TWIN rooms were unavailable because they were not cleaned. We ended up having to pay for a second room in order to have two beds.
The room is very practical. What I liked most about it was the large balcony. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Monte dei Cocci historical site is very close. There is a large market in the same building and a playground on the same block. There are two restaurants and a café downstairs. Mattatoio, a cultural center, museum, and music school is just across the street and I recommend exploring it. The neighborhood around the hotel is residential and is slightly off the beaten tourist path although it is easy to get to all of the touristy attractions either on foot (it's a longer walk) or via the underground (Pyramide stop).
On our tour of Italy Rome was our 1st stop and hotel Re Testa was our 1st hotel. The entrance to the hotel isnt very clear. Its just a door to the side of the building. It has no decent reception just a work table setup in the hallway. When we checked in the air conditioning wasn’t working but we were not informed. We all went in our rooms n turned air conditioning on and went out to tour around. We came back real late but the room was still hot so we asked for a fan. Were told that fans were finished and to add to that we were not allowed to open the balcony. These conditions and 36 degree celsius temperature. Our 1st night in Rome wasnt the experience we were looking for.
We thought we were in the Bronx when we finally found this place!
The pictures shown are not representative of the rooms which consisted of filthy walls, double bed & small portable bed (like a stretcher).
The balcony was decrepit, and overlooked a run down deserted building. The area is awful, finding the place was very tricky, entrance to the hotel is not easy to identify or navigate.
The whole place needs a good paint & updated lighting. I’ll never go back!!!
