Catalonia hotel es una propiedad con buen ambientey familiar mucho turismo europeo la cual influye en los buffets! La comida le doy un 3 de 5 porque no habia muchas opciones disponibles y todos los dias daban lo mismo. El alcohol es de baja calidad pero pues. De los restaurantes tematicos el asiático y el español fue el mas q nos gusto. Es un hotel para descansar y nada mas. Al staff le doy un 20 de 10 muy amables! Doy puertorriquena pero las opcione de este hotel es mas para europeos!

Every thing was perfect except..: to long for Check in, the man who give the beach towells at the pool has a lazy attitude Good team of animation. Good team for the Kids ! Good food at the buffet Excellent service for the bar and the coiffée shop Aroma To much salt at the japanese and Spanish restaurants .. Bed ( King ) very confortable . Largeroom with balcony. buffet protected against cats and birds ! Very clean

Everything was greay i travelled with my family we had a nice time. Only complaint is that the vendors on the beach are super annoying offering all these activities at every second of the day even though they recognized me from the day before when i said no. Also one of the workers from the hotel offered us a "free breakfast on the beach" with intentions of wasting our vacation day selling us time shares stuff. So dont fall for anything "free". Other than that really nice family resort.

STAFF STEALING MONEY This is my worst experience in Catalonia Punta Cana ever. First time in my life I had my money stolen. The staff overall is disrespectful, the food was hideous. 1) Early on the morning on the 3rd day of my "vacation" in this "4.5- star" hotel I noticed that cash, credit cards, and my driver license were missing from my wallet . Other than us only housekeeping and the person who dropped the beach towels have been to our room. I went to the reception and told them about the problem. The security manager and the customer service staff came to our room to write the report and take the pictures to investigate and to cover up the theft. I asked for the cameras, and to my surprise they declined. I asked them to file a complaint with the police. The police didn't speak English, so the only translator was from the hotel management. Almost 80 h later, I got a meeting with the management regarding the result from the investigation. The assistant manager was sarcastic (she continues says it's Dominican Republic ) all the time and didn't try to help. She tried to cover up the theft . 2) Room : Termite damaged doors, broken shower head, sliding door to patio has missing door handle 3) Service : The service was terrible, most of them don’t speak English at all, housekeeping steals your money 4) Food: The food is absolutely garbage! The food was awful with a poor selection of dishes PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS! NOT SAFE FOR FAMILIES !!!

Grounds were nicely maintained, staff was friendly. Painfully slow check in and check out, we paid extra for early check in, but room was not available until regular time. Main foodcourt area where breakfast and lunch was served was not properly air conditioned, there for food safety was compromised. Birds were flying around dining area, at times siting on the tables. We got food poisoning on day 3 and could not wait to go home. Rooms were outdated with funny smell. Housekeeping staff was excellent!

The grounds of this hotel are very well manicured. The buildings look freshly painted. We slept in a refinished junior suite, no complaints here. Our friends however had an old room. The staff was very friendly. The pool area is large, lacking the adult only area. The pool bar served pretty good cocktails; the cleanliness of the plastic glasses was the red flag to us. The restaurants' food was pretty good. The freshly made grill meat or fish could be made ahead so people would not have to wait in line to get the meat/ fish they like. The main restaurant does not have any A/C so it was difficult to eat comfortably. The larger working fans would be a smart solution in these areas. The beach was clean. The crew was cleaning sea weeds daily. The only thing we disliked was the luck of the clean, walkable beach between the hotels. Nobody cleans this area and it's not only full of the weeds, but also full of plastic, glass and other debris coming from the sea. People who like to have long walks like us might not want to come back here.
