I can't say enough good things about our stay at Majestic Colonial. The staff was all lovely and so friendly, there were many restaurant options and the buffets had a huge selection of food and was very impressive. Truly all-inclusive, no hidden fees. There are shops on site that sell souvenirs, sunblock, clothing, alcohol, OTC medications, etc. They provide beach towels, and there are many lounge chairs on the beach. Many locals that walk up and down the beach to sell things to the tourists, but there is security to make sure everything is okay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here and would happily visit again!

The servers were not attentive and slow. We got food poisoning from the Lobster tail at the seafood restaurant. Some of the food was not fresh and sometimes cold, especially at the buffets. Chipped paint in my hotel room. Our jacuzzi was dirty. Inconsistent on cleaning our room. Will not be back to this resort.

Found staff at front desk to be extremely rude and very in-accommodating. Claim to be a fully all inclusive resort willing to always help however when inquiring for a late check out. Within one minute of the conversation me and my spouse found ourselves being yelled at, and laughed at in another language in which we cannot understand. Also very shady when it comes to upselling on wine. Very rude bar staff who if they find you’re not a big tipper (usually I’ve been swimming so I’m not carrying cash in my pocket) they will ignore you and act like you don’t exist.

The property could use some repair, broken tiles in hallways and room. Air conditioning in the room hardly worked, shower drained very slow and was ok on cleanliness, they kept forgetting to leave wash rags when they cleaned the room. About half the staff understood English so for the others I used a translator. The steak house and Japanese were phenomenal. Alejandro was a GREAT server at the steak house and the one guy who's name i don't remember at the Japanese place, he says "meow" a lot was excellent. Our go kart excursion booked through go majestic was a blast, could use a little more organization at the go kart place but overall a blast. The guy on the beach that we booked our Saona island trip through lied to us and the trip was not very fun. We did not get to snorkel, the only drinks included were on the boat to the island except for a small cup of pop on the island and the buffet was just ok and small. Very disappointed in that trip. Overall it was ok

I was not happy with choices of all inclusive drinks. Anything “top shelf” was a cost. I was really surprised at this and it somewhat dampened by experience. Never experienced this at other all inclusive.
