This is one of the worst experiences I’ve had with accommodation.
Firstly, the accommodation isn’t at the postcode on the listing. They let us know a few hours before our arrival of the actual address after multiple chasing.
On the morning we were due to arrive, I received a text from an unknown number. It wasn’t a number mentioned in our booking. They asked us for a deposit which was to be paid by bank transfer. I said I wasn’t happy to do this given this wasn’t mentioned at the time of booking. They agreed we didn’t need to pay if I sent photo ID.
After many texts, they finally sent the address.
We arrived at the address to find there was no free parking which was stated in the booking. We had to pay to stay in a nearby car park.
We went in the apartment and it hasn’t been cleaned. There was what looked like vomit on the loo seat, a sticky spillage on the floor of the kitchen, dirty hobs, part of the sink full of food and not working. Particularly in these times, you’d expect a deep clean but this was not even a basic clean. There was also a lot of damage in the flat with a hole in a door and a door handle coming off the door. We left after ten minutes and stayed somewhere else.
The only positive thing I can say is the lady who managed the apartment was apologetic and we received a refund.

Lovely apartment , very clean and in a good location . However no plug sockets worked in either of the bedrooms nor did the lights in the main bathroom , lounge or kitchen - we had to shower by phone torch light
BEWARE OF BOOKING WITH AA LETS - GOOD IDEA TO READ THIS FIRST. THE ADVERTISEMENT IS MISLEADING
What you see is not necessarily what you get. The Company have a number of apartments in the area and you could be placed in any of them. This was explained after the event. We were told of the change of address less than 2 hours before we arrived - so the photographs etc did not apply to where we stayed. No apology, no explanation at the time - just " It`s our system"
Advertised as free parking - but no allocated parking so you have to take a chance of Visitor Parking being available in order to ensure that you don`t get an onsite parking ticket if you park in the wrong place.
Maintenance Poor, Kitchen cleanliness Poor - the Fridge stank of curry!
AA Lets are NOT customer friendly - they do not do what they say they are going to do and do not explain anything unless pushed.
One of their contact numbers was answered by a woman who was "8 hours behind" as she is in America and said I was "Lucky to get a response" as she was in bed. This was during office hours in the UK. Oh and don`t expect any response before 10.00am in the morning as nobody will answer even on the day of arrival.
Finally, we were given the access code to the Apartment just 3 minutes prior to arrival despite paying well in advance.
So don`t expect AA Lets to take you into consideration as a customer - it is ONLY on their terms
Some of the basic facilities were not available, like hair dryer, the door to the balcony cannot be locked properly and dishwasher not working. Not able to contact the landlord too.
The property was clean and well maintained. The location is a great, just across the high bridge in Newcastle (10-15 minutes walk city center and main metro station) Five minute walk to Gateshead metro and large grocery store. We stayed in apartment 9, family of four two adults and two teenagers. Communication with the AA was good and helpful. Taxi company had trouble finding the place. Overall a great stay!
The apartment itself was lovely and a great place. We had problem with checking in. We went to the address given but turns out it wasn’t the correct address. So we walked there from the train station and realized this wasn’t the right place, so I had to call the hosts. They had forgotten we were coming that day. I was quickly given an address, but it was a bit inconvenient having to walk to another location with all of our luggage (there were no Uber’s available and no taxis around at the location). Apart from that mishap of location and checking in, the apartment was nice and comfortable.

Great location just needs a bit of maintenance
Lovely location and easy stroll to Newcastle itself. The apartment we stayed in looked good initially but the beds were very low and therefore not particularly comfortable. There was no tea towel to dry the pots left for us and the lounge window and door and one of the bedroom doors did not shut properly. It is a shame that it has not been maintained better as it would then have been rated higher.
Very nice clean apartment. Only issue was the communication on arrival. Felt a bit lost and didnt get access codes until after arriving and trying to find somewhere to park. Explain the parking on the message would help massively :) Otherwise once in the location was perfect. The apartment felt very homey and was clean.
Lovely apartment in a great location. Communication was excellent. We stayed here with our daughters ( 3yr and 10yr). Will stay again if we return to the North East.

What a gem of a find! Fantastic location for walking into Newcastle. Great self check in and the apartment was spotless. Will certainly be booking again.
Very nice modern apartment, very clean and functional. Great price for 5 people staying, just a short walk over the bridge to the city centre. Would recommend and I would definetely stay again
