The LAAC is a unique place to stay. The gym and locker rooms are excellent, as are the many shared spaces. I enjoyed lounging on the rooftop and the classy, historic third floor❤️

Stayed there because I went to go to a concert at the Regent Theatre. Place is really nice. Checked in earlier and was they were honest to let me know that the room upgrade wasn't available due to leaving space for those affected by the fires. It's honorable that they do that. The club is nice overall, didn't feel outcasted as a non-member. Would stay again.

I really love the LAAC--highlights are the beautiful lap pool and spa, which are super clean and have all the amenities (towels, nice showers, toiletries). The club members are friendly and there are great spaces to work, eat, or have a drink. The size of the hotel rooms is generous. Depending on the room there are some older/cracked tiles in the bathrooms, but that doesn't bother me. I have stayed a couple of times and the cleaners didn't always get to my room every day, and once there were some old small blood stains on my sheets (these would have been easy to miss when laundering). Melissa at the front desk is really lovely! Any time I raised an issue it was resolved. You need to be a bit careful in the neighborhood, which has great restaurants (including Grand Central Market) and access to transport, but which is not far from Skid Row (I took Ubers at night rather than walking). I will stay here again; it's really wonderful if you're a swimmer and you enjoy a spa soak.

Good room and cool accommodations but is noisy
Hotel located in an area that didn’t seem very comfortable to walk around in. Didn’t see many restaurant options within walking distance and didn’t appear to have many options of places of interests. Pros: Unique hotel with a spacious room. Cool decor and common areas to spend time in. Athletic facilities were top notch. Cons: Walls are paper thin. Noise level outside was over the top. Heard sirens through the entire night and random people yelling in the street. Hotel provided ear plugs but we used white noise on phones to cancel some of the noise. Not much to walk to as a tourist. Walgreens is a 4 minute walk but not a great area to be walking. It’s not unsafe but I wouldn’t advise much at night. Bathroom is small.

After an initial glitch with the first front desk clerk, once the manager stepped in, everything was fine. The rest of the hotel staff could not have been more pleasant and accomodating, particularly Ivan and Sierre. Pool was great and club sandwich from the bar/restaruant was top notch. We will be back. Thanks.
