Needs some updates location was great!

Cooking utensils and pans were filthy had food on pans. Lightbulbs were missing. The whole house just needs to be gone through and cleaned up a bit. New mattresses needed in all rooms! TV remote upstairs couldn’t get it to work. Could use more decent towels. The best thing were the 3 baby bears on the hot tub!

Gatlinburg rental cabin

Do not stay herd. The cabin is old, dilapidated and dirty. The photographs are at least 25 years old. The deck is rotten and dangerous. There were cigarette ends and ash all over the deck. The inside has mice droppings in the kitchen. We did not stay in the cabin, instead found another cabin which was much more suitable.

Remote yet Not Remote

It is a really cute log cabin with a remote feel, and yet you are close to all the conveniences of Gatlinburg. The view was beautiful and the beds were super comfy! We loved the wood burning fireplace and got really, really good use out of it, as a storm had knocked out electricity for the first few hours of our stay. We still had a wonderful family time at this cabin.

Needs some updating and minor repairs but ok

The cabin was cute. No problems getting inside although we had a little trouble finding the property. Enough space for the family. There were however a few minor issues...the headboard to the upstairs bedroom was not attached to the bed, the jets didn't work in the jacuzzi tub in the upstairs bathroom, couldn't get the hot tub outside to work either and the water was dirty so we weren't able to use it, the trash was not emptied prior to our arrival and it was overflowing to where we didn't have anywhere to dispose our own trash and I think there was a "visitor" that was there when we left the cabin to go to the movies because we came back to the trash that was left in the dumpster outside scattered all over the ground under the carport. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Cabin

The cabin kitchen sink was plugged and wouldn’t drain and also had a leak so I had to put a pot under the leak to catch water. Had bugs inside the house and inside the microwave. I killed several of them during are stay. Also couldn’t find the welcome book and the internet password and my contact neva answered the phone or responded to my emails. Overall I love the location and I love the cabin. I think it just needs someone that actually checking and keeping things in order.

The area was nice, cabin needs more outside lighting and the cabin had lots of mice and mice droppings everywhere. Place was not that clean, no extra towels and hot tub did not work. We saw bears they came right up on the front porch

Relaxing

This cabin was in a great location, with a grocery store just down the hill for all our snacking needs. Peaceful mornings were spent on the porch facing the mountains drinking our coffee.

Do not rent

The air conditioner would not cool the house down when I contacted the owner he said the unit was 6 months which it was not. We have no cable and the owner said he called and would have someone there to fix it but they never show up. The odor around the house smelled like something died. There was a lot of bees nest under the carport and the porch look like it was going to fall. The property manager showed up and was no use. She did not have a clue how to fix anything. She swept the filters out with a broom and did not replace them with new ones. The cabin would be nice if they would fix everything that was wrong and update it.

The cabin was great BUT

The hot tube was dirty. Had a note on the counter give excuses about the hot tube and other things. When I tried to call 4 times went to voice mail but couldn't leave a message. She never picked up or called back. The view was great and the cabin was beautiful. But spiders and spider webs every where. The washer and dryer was outside no big deal but never told us it was outside.

Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it was very quiet and the view was awesome. The cabin could use some TLC, the grass needed cut, some of the blinds needs replaced, the gas grill needs replaced “could not use because of rust”. Our overall stay was good.

Great view but

This cabin does have a great view and good location. The water got shut off for a bit because the owner did not pay the bill. The light in the laundry room was out and had to use a flash light. Don’t plan on using the Barbecue is falling apart.

Disappointing,

Tried to call agent when first arrived, no one ever called us back. The inside is nothing like the pictures. Carpet was coming apart by the doors, wallpaper coming down, upstairs bathroom had broken towel bar and was never replaced, downstairs bathroom was dirty, had bugs in tubs every morning. We couldn't control the AC, we would come back to cabin and it would be 80+ in there and then would get down to 68 at night. The dishwasher bottom was duct taped. the bottom cabinet next to dishwasher was glued shut, with dried glue dripping down. Had exposed electrical outlet next to dining table. Very unsafe for anyone, especially children. The washer would not spin dry the clothes. So needless to say the clothes smelled worse after washing them. The light in the laundry area blew out 2 days after we arrived. Spider webs in kitchen area. This is the only place that I have ever had to strip our bed linens. Sorry to say, but I would never stay there again, or any place that this man owns. It was a very disappointing stay.
