Form over function

I've stayed in quite a few design hotels over the years, some that marry form and function well and others that discard all function for form. The michelberger is unfortunately one that fails miserably in this regard - the walls are paper thin, pillows provided are useless (reception even admitted they have to give extra to almost every guest), shower permanently fluctuates hot and cold, no Aircon, ropey WiFi and a bed you actually have to climb out of forwards. Staff were great however, but it feels like they fed in as many rooms as cheaply as possible and covered it with a thin veneer of design over it all. In summary, it felt more like and expensive hostel than a hotel.

Personnel super accueillant pour un hôtel plein de charme et très bien situé. Ce lieu transpire le soucis du détail à chaque recoin. Nous avons beaucoup aimé l'ambiance générale cool et détendue, les chambres cosy petites mais bien aménagées, le bar agréable et sa playlist musicale qui complète le tableau. Notre nouvelle maison berlinoise.

Alles wirklich sehr erholsam waren auf der 4. Etage die neu entstanden ist. Es fehlen noch ein paar kleinigkeiten in den neuen Zimmern ansonsten war es wirklich sehr sehr angenehm.

Sympathisches Hipster-Hotel

Pros: Die freundliche Bedienung und das leckere Frühstück.
Cons: An der Rezeption während der Bedienung eines Gastes nicht das Telefon abnehmen.
Angenehm, wenn man geduzt werden mag und nichts gegen schlicht-chice, eher winzige Zimmer und den Bar-Betrieb hat, der bis spät durch den Hinterhof schallt. Leckeres Frühstücksbuffet!

Pros: unkomplizierte lockere Atmosphäre- super Lage!
Cons: Die Zimmer zur Warschauerstrasse lassen sich nicht öffnen, leicht stickige Luft und eher lärmig- Zimmer zum Innenhofsind deutlich angenehmer...
Sehr gutes Hotel - Preis Leistung stimmt. Freundliche, hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter- saubere Zimmer! Jederzeit wieder!
