Pierpont beach

This was a great property for a short weekend stay. We stayed 10 days so a laundry would have been a bonus. The unit was clean and well stocked. Outdoor space was nice. The chairs need to go to the dump before someone cuts themselves on the rust. The lack of parking was a deal breaker.

Not So Good

The Good: Close to beach, restaurants and shopping. The TV was very good and a good selection of channels. The Bad: Once I received the address, I looked at it on google earth and said, oh no! It sits next to a large abandon parking lot. It is part of a tri plex that you have to walk down a skinny walk way past two other tenants who we don't know with locked gates. Parking is on the street, and by the beach, street parking is hit or miss unless they provide a private parking space which they did not. Parking made it difficult to move luggage and groceries. They still have the rusty outdoor patio set some one else left in their review which eliminates outside seating for us. The freezer was loaded with frost so thick the shelves were connected with ice and no room for food. One of the extra blankets was so stained and messy my wife would not let it on the bed. The beds were small. The couch in the small living room would not sell at a garage sale and was very uncomfortable but was the only place to sit. It was hard to find a place to set up a laptop and do business work.

Ventura Stay

The house and facility was as described, clean, neat, and quiet. The parking is very limited, we had to pay to park elsewhere the first night. Had difficulty finding the entry due to lack of instruction. The beach is not a short walk away. There was no microwave for a quick meal or coffee peculator. There is a K-cup machine but no K-cups. The place is very small yet nicely accommodating.

Awesome little place!

Went to Ventura with my family to attend the throwdown cornhole tournament at the Ventura fairgrounds. This little property was close to the beach with a lot of restaurants very comfortable and quiet. Definitely stay again in the future.

Great location room for improvement

This is a wonderful location. Parking is definitely a challenge. Getting ahold of the property manager is another issue. We arrived Sunday and tried to contact every day with text and calls with no answers. Didnt get a response untill Tuesday. As far as cleanliness, it was so so. The games were worn and sticky and there was something on the wall we had to scrub off above the bunk bed. For the price of this unit, the owner could definitely put more money into the property. The bathroom has water damage/mold under the sink and on one of the door frames. The fridge in the inside wasnt getting cold enough, but there was one outside that worked great. Was well stocked for toiletries and kitchen items.

Work trip / Vacation

We were lucky enough to head out to Ventura for a work trip so decided to turn it into a mini-vacation. This adorable home was perfect for us! 2 kids and 3 adults all slept comfortable, and even though the place is small, we never felt cramped. It was so nice to be able to head to the beach for a couple hours and then head back to cook a nice dinner in the well-stocked kitchen and relax on the patio after a full day of work. We didn't need anything from the hosts while we were there.

The cutest bungalow

We stayed in this lovely property for 6 days. It was close to the beech, froyo and the grocery store. When we arrived there wasn't any fans in the unit to stay cool, the property owner sent them via instacart in an hour, saving us from discomfort :) The only challenge was laundry. For us, having 3 young children it was a challenge keeping things tidy. It would have also been nice to have a rug for cozying up to watch the tv - we didn't app fit km the couch's The owner was so very help. The decor was adorable and relaxed. I would def recommend!

Sweet spot!

This adorable apartment was just right for two people (with one overnight visitor). It has a great vibe and lots of privacy. The beds were super comfy and we enjoyed the outdoor space a lot. It was literally a black to the beach with restaurants and bars on the same street. The walking and bike path starts at the end of the street and goes along the beach for miles. I’d stay again!

Perfect beach getaway

Absolutely lovely little place. Quiet and conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the beach. Well equipped kitchen area and the beds were very comfortable. No AC but didn’t need it - the nights are so cool there even in the middle of July that open windows do the trick just fine. Check in instructions were very easy to follow.

We stayed with our 2 toddlers. The property was great and just as expected based on the listing. The only thing I’d recommend if possible would be giving renters access to one of the garages - we had a really hard time finding close parking some of the days.

Well decorated, but some room for improvement

Me, my husband and two dogs stayed at Pierpoint Bay for 5 nights. The location was great, but there was no designated parking. We had to find street parking which made it a little difficult for loading and unloading our car multiple times during our stay. Upon first impression, we really liked the layout, aesthetic, and patio. The interior was nicely decorated but could use more attention to cleaning. The windows and blinds were dirty and we were surprised to find dishes with smears of food remains left on it. The place got warm during the day but when we wanted to open the windows at night we found that two of the windows had no screens on them and so bugs would fly in. We did like all the amenities in the kitchen but think that a microwave should have definitely been added somewhere. This would be great vacation home for a small family or a couple of friends if the above problems were addressed.

This wonderful apartment, tucked away in a corner lot, is a hidden gem. Beautifully decorated, it offers all the comforts needed for a beach getaway. When we were needing a few extras, we contacted the guest services and they brought everything we asked for within an hour, along with a lovely bottle of wine. Excellent! Since it is located a block from the beach we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets that only Ventura can offer. We really enjoyed this lovely property and hope to stay here again.
