The downstairs unit of a classic beach duplex, this beautifully decorated, 1-bedroom home has a fantastic private outdoor living area. Inside, this home has a cozy, intimate but spacious feel and is ideally suited for a couple, small family or a small group of friends.
This home offers complete indoor-outdoor living! Step out of the French doors directly onto your private patio equipped with comfy couch and chairs and a fire pit (no bbq). Just steps away are the outdoor dining table and chairs on your private, shaded deck. All of this is surrounded by a beautiful garden of succulent plants and bright colored bougainvillea, as well as your own hot-and-cold shower.
Inside, the great room with vaulted ceilings provides comfortable living with an open, spacious feel. The new kitchen with designer backsplash tile has new cabinets, countertops, stainless steel appliances, garbage disposal, coffeemaker, blender, small appliances and filtered drinking water (sorry, no dishwasher). The single-story open floor plan of kitchen/dining/living space creates an intimate, peaceful atmosphere with plenty of seating and a flat screen TV serviced by cable. The bedroom has a queen bed, new HD Smart TV, and an attached bathroom with walk-in shower. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa with a Tempur-Pedic mattress. Linens, towels and all basic supplies are provided. High speed WiFi is available throughout, and play your favorite playlists with our Bose Bluetooth speaker.
The 1-car garage is accessed through the bedroom, providing easy access to the private washer and dryer, additional storage, and the beach equipment provided for your use (bikes, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, and beach toys). The garage has ample space to store your personal belongings and beach toys. Dedicated parking for one normal-sized car is available in the driveway (sorry, the garage is not available for parking and we ask that you do not open and close the garage door between the hours of 11 PM and 8 AM due to the noise for the upstairs tenants). Additional parking is available a few houses down on the Main Street of Pierpont Boulevard.
The property is on the beach block of the beautiful Ventura seagrass beaches, and is also only 5 minute walk from the quaint Pierpont shopping area offering dining, drinks, yogurt, and coffee shops. Also a few blocks away is a Vons supermarket, Donut shop, Starbucks, bike shop, running shop. Towards the other end of Pierpont Boulevard is Marina Park where people walk dogs, play with their kids, do yoga and watch the surfers. An absolute must do is the bike ride (or walk) along the bike lane that is over the beach to the Ventura Pier where you can have tacos on the pier or go for a nice ocean view dinner at the Beach House Restaurant and get beers at the local MadeWest Brewery above. Make sure not to miss the amazing sunsets in front of the house and the gorgeous views of the islands as well!
This location is also very close to San Buenaventura State Beach, Ventura Harbor and Old Town in Downtown Ventura.
We ask all visitors to be mindful that a portion on this home is located below the home upstairs. Great effort has been taken to minimize sound from passing to the downstairs unit. However, as is typical with any 2-story home, the occasional footstep or muffled voice may be heard.
