This was a great pet-friendly find for the few days I was in San Diego! They give you a little welcome bag for your dog when arriving which was a sweet touch. The front desk staff were great. The room was spacious. The only issue I had (and maybe this was due to it being a holiday) is that the parking lot does fill up, and people suck at parking. There was one night I came home around 1 AM and I got the only spot remaining (that someone hadn't parked over the white line and blocked). Considering you pay for parking, that was a bit cray cray.

The bed is comfy, but there was a musty smell in the room and the sheets smelled like super bleach. Staff is excellent. You can hear other doors shut, so it wakes you up. You can hear people talking outside and housekeeping starts around 6am to 7am. So that woke me up. I was on the 1st floor and people were stomping above me. It was just a place to sleep during a holiday.

Pros: Easy check in, comfortable beds, close freeway access, easy entry & exit. Cons: parking was NOT free, $20 per day, our room 351 was next to the staircase, felt little tremors like an earthquake when ppl would take the stairs, room was on the side of the freeway so we could hear the sounds of cars.

One week stay
The staff was the highlight of the stay. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, eager to accommodate my needs. Though the property is somewhat dated, it has been well maintained. The pool area is oasis like with lots of natural vegetation and trees that mimics a cozy resort. The proximity to the airport, downtown, beaches, zoo, Sea World, Fashion Mall, and Scripps Mercy Hospital where my husband was for a week was superb. Nothing more than 10-15 minutes, except th beaches which were a little further.

Everything was okay except our non smoking room stinks and smell like people has been smoking there 24/7. Even if we spray a lot of perfume, it doesnt go away. Bed was comfy. Room was very clean and looks like its recently renovated.
