Helpful staff in an historuc elegant hotel
Had no heat in my room the first nite and staff was very accommodating. George tried hard to figure out the problem. I was moved the next day to a new room.

The bed was uneven, soft on what side, hard on another one, the room was cold and no extra blanket available in the room. The air conditioning was shooting only cold air, even setting it to 80 F

I like this hotel as it was built in 1910 and it is beautiful. The room is quiet and has a nice view out the window. It has a beautiful registration area and bar. It is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. I bought some Italian gelato at a place nearby the hotel which was delicious. There is construction going on in the back of the property and its located near Berkley High School.
