Hotel charged me for 2 nights and I only stayed 1
I will never stay here again! When I went to check in, the woman at the front desk asked for my credit card to charge me $30 for standard deposit and for “the room.” I told her I already paid for my room in full on “hotels.com” and she checked. She said she saw it was paid for, but her computer screen said I owed for the night plus the $30. She was trying to get the room charge off for about 20 minutes. She was looking ok’ing for another staff member to help her but couldn’t find one. Then suddenly she yelled out, “I got it! It will just charge you $30 now. Go ahead and tap your card on the screen.” I confirmed with her my card would only be charged the $30 and she says yes! She fixed the problem! The next morning I checked my bank account while I was out shopping in Carmel and saw my account was short funds and had indeed been charged for another night! I went back to the hotel and talked to one man then asked to talk to the manager. She came out and said sometimes “the system” does that and she would reverse the charges. It could take 7-10 days. She acted like it was no big deal at all and said gets all she could do. She was not in my corner as the customer and only backed up her employee and she continued to make excuses for her. I asked if there’s anything she can do to make this right because now my account is short on my vacation and she said, “I am getting the charges reversed and that’s all I can do.” She didn’t seem phased at all that her employee lied to me.
