stayed for 1 night at the Edendale house from arriving to departing the owners and staff were so very friendly and welcoming we had previously stayed here a few years ago but have to say the hotel is improving vastly with the recent new owners its placed in a very quiet and lovely area of southport but yet close enough to the center for shopping /bars ect also a very short walk to the prom which is beautiful I don't usualy do reviews but on this occasion the hotel and staff deserve the praise thank you for a lovely stay :)

Great weekend base

Pros: See above
Cons: Very little
Location: Very near centre of town and promenade.
Good hotel, fine hosts, lovely breakfast, great location - nothing not to like.

Edendale guest house

The host was very helpful and friendly. My room was pleasant and the bedding was new and good quality, also a small 2 seater settee and a small bathroom. There was fresh milk available for tea making facilities which made a nice change from heat treated stuff! There was a fridge on the stair landing with soft & alcoholic drinks available at a reasonable charge. Breakfast is included in the price, served from 8.15. As I needed to leave before this time I couldn't take advantage of it, however the host did make me tea & toast which was appreciated.
