The owners created the "Bears Den" at Lake Tahoe with family's looking to explore and play in Tahoe in mind. A complete makeover allowed the owners to add a total "Tahoe Package" to this home. With vaulted pine ceilings, cozy river rock wood burning fireplace, full Spectrum TV package, a very private deck with a hot tub, a pool table/air hockey game(small size), and log and pine furniture throughout this is exactly the Tahoe get-a-way you have been dreaming of! The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, plates and bowls etc, most everything you need to cook a family meal.
Located in an quiet and secluded area of South Lake Tahoe this home is minutes to Sierra @Tahoe, Heavenly and Kirkwood. Fallen Leaf Lake and Echo Lake are just minutes away as well and all the glitter of the heart of South Shore's famous casinos are 13 minutes away!
Take a stroll down the street and hike into the Lake Tahoe back-country and Desolation Wilderness. If you love to ski, snowshoe, cross country ski, sled, mountain bike, hike or just goof off this is your next vacation destination. By the way, we provide all linens including flannel sheets, cozy comforters. It truly is all right here at "The Bears Den".
The house has vacant lots to the back and the side-lots of room for the kids to play or if we have enough snow to build a snowman.

When traveling to Tahoe in the winter be prepared for winter driving, possible road closures and delays in snow removal. You are booking a trip to the mountains so come prepared.
Our snow removal crews work every day, but we have no control over the county road snow plows that clear the roads.
4WD and or chains are always recommended. If you come in a small, low profile vehicle you may have difficulties.
Tahoe has experiences frequent power outages during snow, rain, wind events. We provide lanterns, but sometimes they disappear (or batteries vanish)
